This was my absolute favorite stay on the ring road! I wasn’t expecting much, just by the description and the few reviews that I read, but we really enjoyed the whole property. Check in was easy and they showed us around the property a bit before showing us to our room. The room we had was clean and comfortable. There was even a couple of seats and a small table (we used for cocktail time!).
There were robes in the room for the hot tubs, which we did use. The hot tubs were warm and large and right under the stars. There was also a large area with a fire and plenty of seating and blankets. We loved sitting outside by the fire and just talking.
The restaurant was fantastic! We had an amazing meal of which they tell us most of the food comes from the farm or nearby. Lamb burger was amazing! Breakfast was also a nice spread!
Simply put, this place seemed to embody everything I thought Iceland would be. We would definitely stay again!
Fantastic stay overall, super peaceful and bucolic. Super comfortable rooms and bed. Very beautiful. Dinner was a delightful and delicious affair, with the mushroom soup among the best that I have had in my lifetime. Wonderful, relaxing, and romantic 24-hour spa with geothermal waters. Very convenient location, with many sights nearby. Only issue was that the bathroom slightly smelled of sulfur.
This was even far better than we hoped… hotel is very nicely done, right in the heart of a true farm, staff authentically warm & went out of way at every turn… hottub we mostly had to ourselves. And both the waterfalls and mountain hike behind hotel & those at nearby lake were among our favorite in Iceland, simply spectacular.

Ok stay
Check in is quick. Staff friendly as everyone is in Iceland. Rooms are ok, we just stayed one night, passing through and felt that was enough. Breakfast included with good selection.
The hotel was more than accommodating the needs of a quarantining traveler. They let us check-in early. The restaurant was very good and they would have brought it to our room if needed. The setting was peaceful with a working farm (sheep, cattle and pigs) set back from the road. The breakfast was very good and included an automated espresso machine for making lattes. Overall a very nice experience.
Just stayed one night at this location. Loved the country feel and surroundings. The cabins are older but very comfortable. Enjoyed the sheep grazing around the cabin.
We recently stayed here for one night on two separate occasions and it was at the top of our list for favorite overnight stays. The location isn't surrounded by many main attractions - but the experience of staying there was great - from an excellent 'home cooked' dinner and generous breakfast, through to lounging in the hot-tubs and sitting around the fire at night.
Cool place right by Grabrok crater, with neat outdoor fireplace shed, outdoor hot tubs, little farm and duck pond, and excellent restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay.
