This hotel felt so safe, comfortable, and cozy. It was the perfect place to spend Christmas and celebrate our engagement. Also, the bed was incredibly comfy.

I loved this hotel, beautiful. The staff were great help when asked questions and very friendly. The location of this hotel is a plus, everything is at a walking distance. The complimentary tea, coffee, etc…was great. Came back home and ordered some of that tea brand. One thing that I didn’t care for were the mattress, they were a bit too firm for us but I’d still come back and stay here again. Thank you Hawthorne Hotel!

This is a wonderful 100 year historic old hotel! Although the room and, especially the bathroom, were small and some of the furniture scuffed, it is still a great, convenient place to stay in Salem!

The temperature in the room was impossible to control. I tried the recommendation from front desk and it resulted in a temp of 89 degrees, making sleep impossible. We also tried to order room service twice and never got a response.
