Traditional cabin

The cabin is a warm, well appointed traditional cabin behind and hemmed in by a developing complex above Arc1800. The accommodation is well fitted out and very comfortable. Whilst the difficulty of access for luggage etc. is well described in the advertising, it is not ski-in ski-out (but may well be when the complex in front completes). The lower score was given for two reasons: 1. The path up goes past the building site infront. Melting snow from its roof drips onto the path making it dangerously icy 2. Expecting guests to do a high standand of cleaning to get back the deposit is onerous, and made difficult by the lack of proper cleaning cloths. Kitchen paper does not do the job.

Mountain get away

The property is in a really quite unique position. It is hidden away and feels very isolated, but at the same time is next to Les Arcs 1800, a 2 minute walk which is a bustling ski resort. It is brilliant for access to mountain walks and ski lifts and everything the busy Les Arcs has to offer (there is a free gondola down to 1800). We hardly used our car for the week, and got very fit! The property is an old mountain house and cannot be described as spacious, with an open plan downstairs served by a rather primitive kitchen, and then three small rooms upstairs each with an ensuite (which is a treat). There are six single beds, two in each room. As you have to bring your own bed linen (and towels), this is a bit of bind, and when you pull two together, they are not a standard double size, so you need to have the right size sheets (we didn't..). To note you also have to clean the property, or pay a small fee when you depart. There is also no welcome pack so if you are arriving late be sure to have food with you or pre plan to eat out. The outside spaces which can be accessed at both levels are lovely and provide gorgeous views of the Mont Blanc range if the cloud has lifted. It was possible to sit outside in complete isolation (despite actually being near to Les Arcs) and soak up these views. For an active holiday where you want to get out and about, but enjoy your own space this is a perfect property.

Un Super séjour

Nous avons passé un trÚs bon séjour dans un chalet authentique, trÚs bien rénové et parfaitement équipé. Le chalet est un peu à l'écart mais cela ne pose pas plus de problÚme que ça. Le départ est l'arrivée sont possible pratiquement skis au pied. La communication avec l'hÎte a été simple et efficace. A recommender sans hésitations.

Trés bon séjour au calme dans un chalet isolé

Super chalet avec Ă  la fois le cachet de l’ancien et le confort et la modernitĂ© pour les espaces de vie. Chaque chambre (3) possĂšde sa salle de bains. Le propriĂ©taire nous avait prĂ©venu des travaux de construction, mais ceux ci ne nous ont pas beaucoup gĂ©nĂ©. Je recommande cet hĂ©bergement.

Un séjour au milieu de la nature

Suite aux photos prĂ©sentĂ©es sur le site trĂšs belles et trĂšs attirantes, nous avons rĂ©servĂ© ce chalet plantĂ© au beau milieu de la nature. Nous Ă©tions vraiment trĂšs emballĂ©s et ces images paraissaient presque trop belles pour ĂȘtre vraies. Et voilĂ  le jour du dĂ©part arrivĂ©. Nous avons roulĂ©s toute la nuit et c’est un peu fatiguĂ©s que nous somme arrivĂ©s Ă  Bourg st Maurice. AprĂšs quelques emplettes, nous nous sommes rendus au point de rendez-vous convenu avec les propriĂ©taires prĂšs des Arcs 1800. A partir de lĂ , le rĂȘve est devenu rĂ©alitĂ©. Juste Ă  un jet de pierre des infrastructures modernes de la station, nichĂ© Ă  flanc de montagne, au beau milieu des lupins et des Ă©pilobes, le chalet de nos vacances Ă©tait lĂ . La traversĂ©e du (petit)ruisseau en voiture, une jolie surprise, a permis de dĂ©buter notre sĂ©jour 
comme dans un rĂȘve. Imaginez
 « des » terrasses oĂč nous avons partagĂ©s nos repas avec comme paysage idyllique les sommets des montagnes et comme petite musique , le chant de oiseaux et le doux murmure de l’eau des cascades, un intĂ©rieur avec une cuisine oĂč aucun ustensile ne manque, un coin salon avec des fauteuils accueillants et une cheminĂ©e, oĂč nous avons fait une petite brĂ»lĂ©e pour nos rĂ©chauffer le premier soir. À chaque retour de randonnĂ©es, nous profitons de chambres intelligemment conçues avec chacune une salle de bain complĂšte, un coin rangement et des lits douillets pour rĂ©cupĂ©rer des efforts consentis de la journĂ©e. Finalement, nous avons passĂ© un sĂ©jour magnifique qui s’est terminĂ© bien trop vite. Nous ne sommes pas prĂȘt d’oublier cet extraordinaire chalet, de mĂȘme que le sympathique accueil de la part de ses propriĂ©taires!

SĂ©jour idyllique

Nous avons passés une semaine placée sous le signe du calme et de la sérénité grùce à ce merveilleux chalet des plus cosy. L'accueil par le propriétaire et la gestion de notre arrivée ont été parfait. Le chalet est parfaitement équipé et sa propreté est à noter. A noter que chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain ce qui est un grand plus. La décoration est faite avec goût sans que ce soit surchargé. Quant au panorama, que dire de plus qu'il est tout simplement merveilleux. Le bonheur que de prendre le petit-déjeuner devant ces belles montagnes et de respirer le grand air. Une chose est certaine, nous reviendrons!
