Our room was neat, tidy and very comfortable. Whilst Bourke may have its issues, this resort was perfect under the conditions, very quiet and safe. The owner was so lovely! Highly recommended if you need to stop over in Bourke!

Didn’t know who to see when we got there. Plug in sink couldn’t be removed. Bathroom door couldn’t be closed. Outside table and chairs were meant to be shared with neighbours but we needed to use them inside. There was only 1 pillow each. TV and Air Conditioning worked well. Security gate was closed at night which was good.

Very expensive for this property. Many maintenance problems eg broken front door closer, missing door furniture to bathroom, dirty grouting, no doona cover, curtain falling down, tiny toilet paper roll with no spare etc In contrast the idea of separate cabins in a compound is great but to call it a Resort was laughable. Could be really good with a realistic price, some maintenance and some attention to detail.

Go so Somewhere else

Keep looking! Staying at Sunshine Gardens was like staying in a hotel in 3rd world. I booked 2 bedroom unit, had a leak in room, cockroaches no cooking utensils or bowls very poor. Gates locked at 8 pm .safety .pool a petrie dish . Finally after numerous phone calls & screen shots of booking which stated could pay at property was finally agreeed. On site manager did the best he could considering it’s all on him, so I felt sorry for him but standard was below poor.

DO NOT STAY HERE. It's dangerous. A guest was recently robbed at knife point in the middle of the night after someone broke in to their room while they slept. There are big padlocked security gates and broken glass cemented to the top of their fence to try to stop break in's. The room was dirty, front desk bloke very rude, office smelled discusting, bed hard as a rock, pillows flat as pancakes, no dooner inner & no top sheet, bedding was dirty and underlay had pee stains on it, shower rose was gunked up with calcium or lime, missing cutlery, no plates, bathroom drain was just gaffer taped down, poorly maintained buildings. And with all that said...the price was horrendous (with hidden extra fees charged to my card) - clearly price gouging. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

This is a convenient stop in Bourke. Some care of the grounds is required and the bar needs a service (beer not cold enough and the taps over gased). The pool was clean and a saviour for the hot days and nights. Host was friendly and great to talk too.

We stay here on our travels Nth and Return. Friendly staff, good stop over: room clean: air con/ tv/ microwave ( needs plates,cutlery etc) outdoor furniture needs update: nice pool, safe and secure location: grounds need attention (untidy) : needs a bit of improvement for $$s charged: will stay again next time
