We were disappointed with some aspects of our stay. We were not pre warned that we would need to give a check in time as someone would need to meet us to let us into the building. This wasn’t advertised beforehand. We received numerous messages asking what time we were arriving on the day but as we had a long drive there we had plans on our way and felt rushed to give a time to arrive. Which we felt ruined our plans as it was a birthday celebration. My pre message to ask if the venue could decorate was ignored and never replied to. The main bathroom door scraped the floor and was hard to pull open and closed. There was someone’s finger nail we found on the floor. The venue does need some TLC. My main complaint about the venue was the curtains. They didn’t fit the window and drooped at the top. We may as well have slept with the lights on all night. The light coming in from the windows we were unable to sleep and had 2 nights of no sleep. Including my 8 year old child who couldn’t sleep due to the consistant light coming in. There is a door to a balcony next to the main bed which shines light from the main building corridor. There was no darkness to the venue at all. Light also came in from the living space as the blinds also weren’t suitable. One of the photos attached just showing a door was 4am which shows the light. The location of the venue was very suitable. But we would not stay here again unfortunately due to having no sleep due to the light coming into the rooms.
