It is like going to a hidden paradise, you will be surprised to find a Javanese wooden house architecture, with a modern interior style. At the foot of Merapi Volcano, next to Kaliurang area, Villa de Sérénité is welcoming you with our traditional refreshment made by moms of the village.
The birds chirps and squirrels jumping on the trees will let you open your day, relax and cozy. Then enjoy Omah Petruk, Merapi Museum, and Merapi Park which are in the walking distance, or 30 minutes by car to downtown Jogjakarta, Borobudur or Prambanan temple.

The building

Villa de Sérénité is conjunctions of two limasans arranged for adapted modern circulation. Limasan is most common traditional Javanese house. Our limasans are 150 and 80 years-old when we build it. Full house total large is 250 m2, with little fish pool inside and back yard garden.

We provide you 3 bedrooms. One main bedroom with semi open bathroom inside. You will enjoy shower under the sky or relax bathing under the roof. The other two bedrooms are large and comfy with direct access to the front terasse. One big common bathroom and toilet, in modern and traditional fusion style. All the bath rooms are equipped with hot and cold water.

A wooden bar stole is separating the open kitchen and family lounge. Our kitchen is sufficiently complete, with water dispenser, oven and large refrigerator. You may appreciates cooking and enjoy your meals at a huge whole wooden table. Two wings aside the fish pool give your member some privacy for relax or discuss. Barbecue set can be provided when you order. Indeed, the lounge is direct connecting with our backyard garden.

Don’t worry, mosquitos is not problem at all, since we are at about 800m altitude. Surrounded by nature, no need of air condition because at night we may have below 20*C, no mosquitos, what do you hesitate to be here?


Welcome Refreshment and Breakfast
We are welcoming you with tradional drink such: wedang uwuh, wedang jahe or wedang secang, accompanied by tradisional snack or commonly we call it “jajan pasar” which might be jadah tempe, timus, or combro etc. This will be serve for 2-6 person.

Breakfast is include in your reservation. We serve you only Indonesian breakfast : nasi goreng or jajan pasar (3 sorts) with coffee and/or tea. Breakfast will be served every morning from 7.30 - 10.00 WIB

Coffee machine and water dispenser is available your service all day long.

Internet and Cable TV
We provide a WIFI hotspot and cable TV. We are also able to help you to arrange a local card for your smart phone that offers mobile Internet access to very reasonable prices.

Laundry
We are equipped with washing and drying machine. You can request for laundry and done within a day inside the villa.

Interest and Activities
Several touristic spots are in the walking distance from Villa de Sérénité. Omah Petruk is the nearest. It is a cultural venue where some cultural events are regularly held in there. Either the Merapi Museum and Merapi Parc are about 800 m from the Villa. Merapi Museum is one of the most visited museum in Jogjakarta, where we will see the evidence of Merapi eruption and learn about volcano. For you the selfie lovers, Merapi parc is really the place for you.

You can do Walking or bicyling arround the village, enjoying paddis field, or going up to Kaliurang area. We can also arrange for you some common activities such jeep tour, bicycle ride, or climbing Merapi.

About October every years, there will be Javaneese ritual held by the village named Merti Deso. This event is to thanks to God and to the nature for all the blessing along the year.
