Won’t stay again

The apartment itself is nice & located within a quiet neighborhood. The property owners or overseers (still not sure what they are) was my only issue. They lacked communication during my check in process. On my way to the property I called the contact person listed & she said she was not there to let me in. I was directed to call a guy & he gave directions to the apartment, let me in & showed me where everything was. My friend is a local & was with me to ensure I got settled. The guy asked if she would be staying bc I would have to pay an additional fee per night. We decided to pay just in case she did stay. I payed $25/night & was overcharged. Of the 4 nights she only stayed 1 night. Upon checkout I asked about a refund & was told by the guy he didn’t have any cash & would be back before I left. As it was time for me to checkout no one was found for me to leave the keys with I called the contact person for an hour before getting an answer & again she wasn’t on the property & I was told she would send someone to get the keys. I asked about my refund again & was told by the lady there was no way to verify that she didn’t stay there & I should have said something sooner. I explained to her that I talked to the guy & that she can run back the cameras (which she would have used to see if she needed to charge me for an additional person staying) & she refused. Very unprofessional & lack communication. I was also overcharged for extra person bc online listed stated $20/night.

The property is as beautiful as it's pictures. There's clear division between the apartments with enough space to relax and privacy. There's also parking available inside the gate. Contacting the owners was easy and they made sure that I had little difficulty accessing the apartment.
