If fishing is your preferred activity Lake Carter is just down the roadway. Lake Carter is stocked with Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Pearch and Catfish. You can swim and fish at the lake or just enjoy Selma Park. Bowie Acres sits on 40 acres of untamed wilderness offering hiking. This property is raw and untamed so bring a walking stick and boots as the wildlife remains undisturbed for most of the year. The property is near the end of a dead-end driveway so privacy and quiet nights will ensure you get your rest. There is plenty of room to bring your boat and a place you can park it. If you are a horse trader Bowie Acres is eight miles from the Bowie Horse Sale Barn. There is a place for your livestock trailer and a place to put horses if you need a pen. If trying slots or playing blackjack is your thing then Riverstar Casino is 25 minutes from Bowie on Hwy 81.
