We have stayed at Links a few times before. It used to be a beautiful place with lovely grounds and special touches. It is disappointing that the outdoor areas now look rather unkept with old and dirty furniture. The lounge is lovely but it was very cold & the fire would have been nice. Our room was also cold & the advertised central heating didn’t work. For the price, we felt the renovated room was not very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were nice but the service could be improved.

We had left the room after breakfast around 9.30 and returned around 1.15pm.We had left the tag on the door to have the room cleaned. This was not done. We had to use the room to dress up as we were attending a wedding. The cleaner was advised by the supervisor to clean the room while we dressed up. She was at the door with the cleaner. We were told that if this was done now then the room will not be cleaned. We had no choice. The cleaner spent 5mins to make the bed and replace the towels .The bin was not emptied nor the tea cups replaced. They had been used that morning to drink tea. Not a good experience.

No replacement of tissue box. It’s empty there on our 2nd day of stay. Breakfast is limited selection, it should be listed on ads if breakfast included only for very limit items of food, it’s a little bit of misleading of guests.

Beautiful property and really lovely shared amenities like the bar and lounge. A gorgeous piano to play, chess board, etc. I really loved the day manager - she was friendly & beautifully informed. We also met her gorgeous dog! (Extra bonus points). In the evening, our staffmember was also friendly and accommodating, if not quite informal? I think they might be new, though! Overall would absolutely come back. Room was clean and beautiful, and good value for money. Thanks Links!

The staff here are absolutely wonderful, the room was clean and bed very comfy, My husband and I stayed here for two nights as I was setting up a business, I then decided to come back for another 3 days. Links House is now my place to stay while in the Highlands.

This is a charming older style boutique hotel. Rooms are small and en-suite tiny, but functional. The cooked breakfast is very generous with eggs cooked perfectly to our order. The open fire in the lounge is a very welcoming sight when we returned each day and was a great place to meet and get to know other guests. Megan who is either the owner or manager is charming and seems to be able to remain totally calm during what I suspect is the hectic breakfast serve period. I would question whether short term guests like us need an ironing board and iron in the room and would prefer to see some shelves in the wardrobe to allow our small bags to be unpacked. This last point seems to be the same for all hotels in the area so not meant as a criticism of Links House. Having checked out some other options in the area for future visits, nothing comes close to matching the friendly atmosphere here. Will definitely stay here whenever we come back to Bowral
