The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the front, communal areas of the hotel were in great condition. However, the room and upper hallways looked like they really needed a lot of maintenance and attention. Yellowing and stained ceiling tiles from a couple different leaks, peeling wallpaper, etc. It just felt old and in need of updates. That said, there were no issues with hot water or the room HVAC unit.

There was no luggage rack. There was only one washcloth in the bathroom, The rug in the bedroom was old and worn. The hall rug was dirty.. Room amenities were non-existent. We have stayed in this hotel several times over the past 20 or so years. The atrium was gorgeous and the pool looked inviting. However, the hotel looked shopworn. and in need of attention. It was a disappointment.

It was somewhat disappointing. Room was just a room. Staff was fine in the small contact I had checking in and out. Break fast also disappointing. In the morning we found you had to order thru the front desk and it was delivered take out style to eat in the lobby or go back to your room. Motel 6 does a better job of it.

The only reason this place deserves more than one star is because of one exceptional waitress who provided outstanding service. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing. The property is old and poorly maintained, with uncomfortable beds, a musty odor, visible mold, and layers of paint covering previous damage. The bathroom felt unsafe, with a soft, sinking floor in the shower. Overall, I would not stay here again.

The overall experience was excellent. My room had rips in the wallpaper in the bathroom so I hope I will not be charged for that damage. I had to give a $50 incidental fee at check in.

This hotel definitely needs a facelift. It seems outdated by at least 30 or 40 years. The beds were comfortable and it was safe and convenient, so it’s by no means unacceptable. My room smelled like mold, possibly because of the lack of bathroom fans. This property is merely adequate. Ain’t great, but it’s not awful either.
