Hotel was adorable. If you are not a fan of elevators - you might want to request a room on the first floor. It's the original elevator and can only be operated by staff. Very cool - but very small,

A Welcoming Inn

Welcoming staff several times asked if we had everything we needed. The rooms were modernized, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The Inn is dog friendly. The grab and go breakfast offered numerous nutritional choices. The grounds are meticulous. Wednesday evenings summer concerts on the back lawn draws many adults and children. Children will also enjoy the pristine swimming pool. Several friends attended the concert with us. We later wanted to order beverages on the back patio. Though the bartender had closed the bar for the evening, he graciously said he would accommodate us and prepared our beverages for evening enjoyment on the back patio. Of note, The Brandon Inn provides a picturesque Vermont wedding venue. We will continue to seek out small village Inns as we travel.

Room was spacious and really unique. Oldest elevator in VT. was really fun to ride. Very walkable town near a nice bakery and a restaurant we liked. There were a few places to putter around and shop, too.

Such a great Inn, and a wonderful town. The Inn has so much character and history and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Inn. Very easy to check in and out. The Inn was well kept and clean. Between the Inn and the town shops we found everything we needed and more. Would stay there again if in the area.

Dated but cute. 3 flights of stairs to get to our room was not our favorite but room was large and comfortable. Pillows were stiff as boards. If we were there more than one night i would have asked to swap pillows. Town is adorable. I would stay again if in the area.

Review of Brandon INN

The overall stay was great, as was the staff. However the room was very small for the price and it didn't even have a fridge. Also, I was on the 4th floor and there's only one elevator and it is staff operated only, so if you want to be lazy and use it, or use it for your luggage, first you have to go find someone to even operate it for you. Other than that, it's a very nice place. I was there on Wednesday night and was fortunate enough to enjoy a swim while listening to the live music on the other side of the fence, I found it to be quite relaxing.

Attending to every need that Brandon in is a beautiful historical place to explore and to enjoy a quiet and a beautiful outstanding stay. The pool and the patio is one of the very best I have ever swim in and absolutely stunning as well. The community of staff is excellent and you should definitely try this Hotel

A beautiful and historic hotel. Very well kept. Staff was lovely. Located on a little strip with other cute places to eat and a walgreens across the street for practical goods. Only thing is (and this is not necessarily a criticism). That while they do have staff around, they don't have a dedicated front desk person. Also to note, that they have a very cool old crank elevator that has to be operated by staff, and if the staff isn't around you have to call a number to have someone come. No other way to get to the upper floors unless you want to take the stairs. All this is clearly communicated in the welcome email sent in the previous days to our stay, but I know some people don't bother reading those things in detail. Also, I did try and call the hotel a few times to ask questions about early check in, and use of the pool before check in, and I never got a hold of a live person. That was a little frustrating. The breakfast buffet is held in this gorgeous sun room with lots of light. What was offered was a ok variety of breads/muffins/croissants, fruit and milk, cereal, yogurt and some fruits. But no hot foods like bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes or anything like that. And there were no visible offerings of non-dairy milk and yogurt (but we also didn't ask). They did have some hard boiled eggs which were delicious. We attended a wedding in neighboring Middlebury, in another historic type hotel...and hands down we thought our Brandon Inn hotel was the best!

It's a charming, classic old inn, that, despite its age, is well maintained and clean. It's centrally located in Brandon, in a quiet, safe, walkable neighborhood and near all the major restaurants in town. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
