Cedar Canyon Quarry is a family-owned property that was once a lime rock mine which has been inactive since the 1970's and has since "rewilded" itself with hundreds of red cedars. The lake itself which is located within a canyon and surrounded by cliffs has numerous connections to the Florida Aquifer via underground springs and is filled with bass, bluegill, catfish, perch, and even a small population of freshwater eels! Less than an hour from Gainesville and only 2.5 miles from the Ichetucknee river, we are available by appointment only 7 days a week, 365 days per year. At this time we do not have tubes or kayaks for rent so you will need to bring your own.
During your stay at this campground, you'll be close to Santa Fe River-Hartzog Conservation Easement. Laundry facilities are available. A washer is available in the accommodation.
