Karla is my cleaner and co-host to call when I'm away. I split my time between Brenham and Durango Colorado. I purchased this new 1 story 4 bedroom home on July 2, 2026, the Stylecraft Vintage Farm community, 5 minutes from downtown Brenham.

THE INSIDE The kitchen is large and well equipped, a chef's delight. Lots of Kitchen Staples like coffee, tea, half n half etc, See pics of 100 items. Many smaller appliances besides the new big ones: New Whirlpool refrigerator and dishwasher. The Kitchen island is big, the heart of the home. Small appliances like a Foreman grill, quesadilla maker, 2 crock pots, full size blender, Coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, waffle, blender, toaster, new set of of non-stick cookware below right including the pizza pan, a small outside microwave oven for the BBQ chef to mitigate unevenly thawed frozen food serving, the bacteria. All the cooking utensils you need .. imho ...are hung on either side of the range. 50 coffee mugs to the left of the fridge. The glasses are in the upper cabinets to the right and left of the range. The dishes are on the right side to the left of the oven. The pantry is near fully stocked. Lots of paper plates etc to the left of the fridge upper cabinet.
The master bedroom has a king size 4 poster bed, arguably the heaviest bed in Texad. There are 3 queens in the other 3 bedrooms, and 2 twin bunk beds that sleep 4 in the heated and AC garage, for the younger set, with a small fridge and TV. So I comfortably sleep 12, with 2 full bathrooms inside, including the master bath. There are 2 more 'Bathing Suit - No Soap' hot and cold showers on the back deck that drain to the yard. There is a new 65" Vizio TV in the living room, and 2 new TVs in the master bedroom and the garage. I subscribe to YouTube TV.
BACK DECK AND PATIO is 500 sq ft that seats 32 at 7 seated dinner tables. The wood bench that surrounds the deck is tied into the joists below. The 16' x 16' canopy above shields you from the sun's rays, with 3 more canopies to the west, that is the left side of the house. 2 flags hang from bench back top, USA and Texas, on the front porch too. 4-person hot tub and two 24 ft long steps leading down to the back lawn for more good seating. 15+ BBQ utensils hang to the left of the large Kitchen Aid propane grill. Under these are 2 red white and blue coolers. 2 No Soap' showers and a hot tub. The back deck closet is the 2-door to the left of the master bedroom entry. Inside are 2 blow up swimming pools with a pump, an electric balloon inflator, swiffer, and vacuum cleaner, 2 expansion leaves for the big middle table on the deck. Please put the 2 back in this closet when you exit.
PRIVACY makes my home unique. To the right is a 50 ft common area with a sidewalk down to the park below my back lawn, with the kids fun gym to the right. Across the street, there's 30 feet of common area across Lake Ridge Drive, with no homes there. It's a public street that is little traveled because of the Dynamics of my immediate neighborhood. So guest parking is plentiful.
QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD. Vintage Farms is a tight knit community with good neighbors. Please no parties other than the quiet dinner kind. There's to be no loud music. All is quiet after 9 pm. These are house rules. Please leave my home as you found it when you arrived. Except of course the unmade beds and used baths. Be accurate in naming your # of guests.
Except for the 2 new queen beds and 1 new deck table and the garage furniture, I purchased everything from Higgins South Thrift store in Brenham. The beneficiary is FaithMission.us, a Brenham based non-profit who (1) successfully lends the homeless a hand up vs a handout .. many of our thrift staffers came from the street .. and (2) helps youngsters who are denied opportunity because of a difficult living environment, our SMART mission. Science, Math, Art, Reading, and Teamwork. I volunteer at Faith Mission.
I call my Brenham home the House of Lamps, 32 of them, all with Green Dots, see below. Many generous residents of Washington County donate special things to our Faith Mission thrift. We are the town that gives back. Cannery Kitchen on Alamo and Faith Mission is the heart of that.
My furniture and decor will take you back to a time of American ingenuity and craftsmanship. The pictures speak for themselves. There is no particle board in my home, except the white table in the garage.
My mission is to warmly welcome you to my Brenham home, where guests can gather in privacy to celebrate their faith, family, tradition, hospitality, and fond remembrances of times past. Simpler times when kitchen and faith were central to the home. Karla picks fresh Texas wildflowers for your arrival. Bluebonnets when in season.
Family reunions, wedding parties and church events etc. are welcome. There is a small amphitheater in the backyard with a podium spot for your speaker, with seating on the back deck and stairs, and stone flats for standing room below the steps. The 6-acre park below me and the Texas Hill Country view beyond of the Grand Texas Main house and Ranch on the horizon above is spectacular. The Texas evening skies are inspiring, forever protected. Usually there is a fine Texas breeze from the south and west.
The 2 outdoor 'bathing suit' showers are water only, no soap as they drain to the yard. Please rinse off before entering the hot tub. Rinsing with water vs soap eliminates over 95% of unwanted skin stuff and preserves your natural oils and keeps the skin barrier healthy, reduces dryness, and stops the irritation caused by harsh soaps, many now from China. I also use the shower to wash my clothes after a hard days work.

Please consider buying 1 or 2 having round green stickers (most everything except the furniture and kitchen staples) as a remembrance of your visit to Brenham.
