Stay was awesome, the driveway is steep, if it’s snowing you will have problems getting up it w/out chains or 4 by 4.

Beautiful place and extremely picturesque surroundings. Great communication by the owners! As other reviewers have clearly mentioned, the driveway in snow is NO JOKE. We rented a standard SUV and it was not capable of getting a quarter of the way up the steep driveway which was covered in snow. (Unfortunately the rental car company didn’t have a 4x4 in stock even tho we requested one). The surrounding roads were completely clear; however the driveway had not been plowed. We had to use a sled to pull our luggage up the long, slippery, snow covered driveway and park the car at a public parking lot which was not close — and walk back in the snow. If you do not have a 4x4 and it’s snowing, would not plan to stay here. Honestly was kind of funny and also quite impractical. We all fell down walking down the driveway in the snow and it was a long trek very time we left the property to retrieve our vehicle. Definitely a memorable experience. The owners were great and helpful. We just didn’t have the right equipment to set us up for success to really enjoy the experience.
