The tour includes the upper town, or Vauban citadel, the very heart of Briançon, dominated by the Château Fort, and the surrounding fortifications of Fort des Salettes, Fort des Trois Têtes and Fort du Randouillet. In winter, Briançon becomes a popular destination for ski enthusiasts, with its ski area forming part of the famous Serre Chevalier resort.
