Pet friendly, fully air conditioned wooden retreat, with a wood fire for those cooler evenings, a gas BBQ with outdoor dining, expansive decks, a fully equipped kitchen for food lovers, and lovely views for that true holiday feeling. Located opposite from the river with walk trails, close to wineries and the cidary.
Fully enclosed grassed area and the balconies too, so that your fur babies can safely roam.
Plenty of wildlife with a variety of birds, parrots, frogs, lizzards, possuems and even a bandicoot or two.
Full linens provided.
Three fully airconditioned bedrooms with queensized beds, with an extra single in one of the rooms, and another with doors opening onto the balcony.
Please note: This propety is not suitable for the elderly or those with mobility issues as due to the propertys location on the hill, there are steps.

We booked 2 nights with 4 people and our dog, but the house is big enough for even more people to stay! The place is just so full of character, the art was curated and the beds were impeccably made. There is so much in the kitchen you don't need to buy many extra bits to get you through. I bought bath salts as we don't have a bath at home, but of course the owners had already set out bath salts for the bath. I loved the touches of dried flower arrangements around the house, and the furniture is beautiful. Our dog absolutely loved the place, and we loved the fish and birds. Also got to meet the possum that lives out in the bbq area! This place is on our list to come back, it was perfect.

A fabulous location for a relaxing get away. A very well equipped and large property, with views of the hills and that is perfect for pets. We had a great few days with our dog who loved his first country experience!

A great place to stay for a real get away feel. The beautiful reclaimed timber used throughout the house, the leadlight windows and the old fashioned doors all added to the "cabin in the woods" feeling. The steep driveway, steps and shower over a deep bath rule it out for anyone with mobility issues, but we (family group plus 2 dogs) loved it. Recommended for bird and nature lovers both for on the property, and for the river walk over the road. Highlights are the birds, veranda views, dog friendliness, comfortable beds and rustic feel. We would love to return.

This house reminded me very much of staying in the southwest years ago. Set amongst the bush, jarrah everywhere, slate floors, wrap around verandah and peace and tranquility. But with today's mod cons, a good size TV and stove, wifi etc. Certainly the best equipped holiday home we've stayed in for a while (condiments, plenty of plates, cutlery, cleaning items, liquid soap, toilet paper etc). At some stays these can be on the "light" side but not here and very much appreciated. A very short drive to town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely charm and rustic ambiance xx peaceful and quiet x great 5km walk along the river into town x great space for family and our dog. Our old dog could not do the steps,but the veranda and slopes to the house were okay for him and he ambled in parts of the garden x the only negative… maybe for others is the driveway. Lots of pot holes and some cars may bottom out if not careful xx overall we will definitely stay again xx

We arrived in Bridgetown on a very cold and wet weekend. But our stay at the Rustic Bridgetown cottage was everything we expected. It was cosy, comfortable, and nestled high in the perfect location. The house was equipped with everything we need.My grandsons enjoyed feeding the many different birds that visited each day.Would definitely like to return when it is warmer spring weather, and the possums could come out and say hello. Thank you for a lovely stay.
