You are close to Briennon, a village with a history dating back to Gallo-Roman antiquity. Briennon is surrounded by the canal from Roanne to Digoin and the Loire. Along the water, you will discover a rich natural and cultural heritage. There is plenty to explore in the surrounding area: the historic centre of Charlieu with its old half-timbered houses and Benedictine abbey, the medieval villages of Villerest, known for its leisure lake, and Saint-Haon-le-Chatel. Roanne, a riverside town, offers a beautiful marina and the Chateau de la Roche, which is perched on a rocky outcrop and takes visitors on a journey through time with theatrical tours and escape rooms.
