Welcome to Valley Retreat a spacious five-bedroom chalet-style bungalow nestled in the coastal village of Saltdean. Sleeping up to 10 guests, this beautifully presented semi-detached home offers generous living spaces, three bathrooms and parking for up to three vehicles, making it ideal for families, groups, business travellers and those looking to explore the Sussex coast. Located just moments from Saltdean's spectacular coastline, guests are perfectly placed to discover the dramatic white chalk cliffs of Telscombe Cliffs, scenic coastal walks and beautiful beaches, while Brighton city centre is only a short drive away.

Enjoy the peace of a seaside village while remaining within easy reach of Brighton city centre, the South Downs National Park and many of Sussex's most popular attractions. With parking for up to three cars and additional free on-street parking, exploring the area couldn't be easier.

Sleeping up to 10 guests across five comfortable bedrooms and three bathrooms, there's plenty of space for families, friends and colleagues to relax together without feeling crowded.

KITCHEN / LIVING AREA
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. Guests can enjoy a gas hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of cookware, crockery, glassware and cutlery for larger groups. Complimentary tea and coffee, along with salt and pepper, are also provided, so please help yourself. The comfortable living area is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the Sussex coast. Settle into the sofas and enjoy the Smart TV, with free Wi-Fi allowing you to stream your favourite shows through Netflix, Prime Video and other streaming services using your own accounts.

Saltdean is one of Sussex's most desirable coastal villages, perfectly positioned between Brighton and the South Downs National Park. Famous for its stunning clifftop scenery, guests can enjoy breathtaking walks along Telscombe Cliffs, where panoramic views stretch across the English Channel. The nearby Undercliff Walk offers a scenic route towards Brighton Marina, while Saltdean Beach and the iconic Saltdean Lido provide excellent opportunities for swimming, paddleboarding and relaxing by the sea. Just a short drive away, Brighton offers its famous Palace Pier, Royal Pavilion, The Lanes, independent cafés, restaurants and vibrant nightlife, making Valley Retreat an excellent base for exploring both the coast and the countryside.

Our Guest Promise

We want you to arrive at a spotless home. If anything has been missed with the cleaning, please let us know straight away, and we will put it right as a priority. If we are unable to resolve it on the same business day, we will offer to move you to another property or refund you for the affected time!

Check-In

We’ll send your check-in instructions via email and SMS at 3 pm on your arrival day for check-in from 4 pm, once your damage deposit/waiver has been paid.

Damage Deposit

We work closely with our property owners to protect their homes and take damage deposits for all bookings. The day before check-in (or on the same day, if applicable), you’ll receive a 3D Secure link to select your preferred damage deposit option. The full deposit is simply pre-authorised on your card and released within 7 days of check-out if no breakages or damages are reported. Guests who prefer not to do a fully refundable damage deposit have the option of a one-off non-refundable damage waiver at a much lower cost.

Smoking

To keep our properties fresh and clean for all guests, smoking of any kind, leaving traces behind suggesting smoking of any kind, or vaping (including e-cigarettes), is not allowed indoors. Please smoke on the street or patio area, if available.

Noise

To help keep things peaceful for our neighbours, we kindly ask that noise be kept to a minimum between 10 pm and 8 am. We want you to have a great time. A little consideration goes a long way to making sure everyone can enjoy their evenings (and get a good night’s sleep!)

Not all properties can host hen, stag, or similar group celebrations. If you’re planning one, just drop us a message, and we’ll happily guide you to a property that can accommodate your group.

Please note that call-outs due to excessive noise or parties may incur a fee.

Pets

This Property is pet-friendly. An additional £95 after pet stay, hypoallergenic cleaning fee applies per stay. Please notify us in advance what type of pet you are travelling with, so arrangements can be made.

A maximum of 1 dog is allowed unless prior permission has been granted.

Dogs are not permitted on beds or furniture to keep the home clean for everyone.

Only housetrained dogs are accepted (no puppies).

Dogs must not be left unattended in the house.

Please clean up after your pets.

Check-Out

Check-out is by 11 am. Unauthorised late departures may incur a £50 per hour fee.

Before You Leave and as a consideration to future guests, please:

Wash up the used dishes.

Bag rubbish and use the correct recycling bins.

Return keys to the key safe (OR) Keynest location.

Switch off the lights.

Close all windows.

Turn down the heating.

These steps help us prepare for the next guests and save energy; every little bit counts.

Age Policy

The lead guest must be 21 or over. We cannot accept bookings where the majority of guests are under this age. If unsure, please contact us before booking.

A Quick Note on Deposits and Property Care

If any of the above guidelines aren’t followed, we may need to make deductions from your deposit to cover additional cleaning or damages. We hope that’s never necessary!

Within 24 hours of your check-in, you will receive a secure link to complete your pre-arrival damage deposit. Once this has been completed, your check-in instructions will be sent automatically. Unless you have booked an early check-in, your access details will be released at 3:00 pm on your day of arrival.
