Liked: Cleanliness
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the young man at reception during check-in and the breakfast restaurant manager. However, the overall experience was average. The room for two was quite small and rather dark, although it was clean and nicely maintained. The bathroom is in the typical Malaysian style, so after showering the whole floor becomes wet. A floor squeegee would really help. The towels had visible stains, which was disappointing. In the restaurant, many of the chair covers were stained. Breakfast options were limited for a European guest – mostly toast and beans. I tried some of the local dishes, but they felt too heavy for breakfast. On a positive note, the samosas and spring rolls were very good. Overall, it was an okay stay, but there is room for improvement.
