Took over 30 minutes to checkin. People were interrupting with queries in regards to parking and room cards that didn’t work. At one stage the staff member left half way checking in someone so she could let people into the car park (even though they had not checked in as yet). We requested car parking and was told there was none available. Yet she just let someone in???????

The hotel really was beautiful but checking in was very odd, the door isn't open so we had to knock on the glass until someone saw us. Just odd. Once we were let in by another guest who was also looking for a hotel worker the place was clean. Finally the one and only worker came down and helped the other guy and got us checked in. The room was lovely, like actually really nice so I hope they hire more staff and maybe figure out a new check in process because it was very nice.

The property itself was clearly still under construction, which was a let down considering it had a “open December 2024” banner on it. The room itself was beautiful and clean and very comfortable. I couldn’t figure out the block-out blinds until early in the morning, by which point the sun was utterly blinding. Parking was a mess. The hotel is right on a main road with no slip lane to turn into the drive way, which made it very nerve wracking. I initially parked at the McDonald’s so that I could safely walk down the 100m and figure out how to park safely. The on-site parking was so small and almost impossible to manoeuvre around, besides the fact the card reader is on the wrong side (left instead of right), which makes it hard for solo travellers. Once you hand in your key card, there is no access to the carpark. I asked the receptionist how to get in without a hotel key and she just said “it will open”. Lo and behold it didn’t, so I had to trudge back into the reception area to ask her to take me to my car. A minor inconvenience but still an aspect I didn’t like. The room was beautiful however, and the bed very comfortable and fluffy. The carpet was soft and dreamy. Once renovations are complete I would definitely stay again. Very close to the city and Gabba, so I imagine it would be very convenient for that. Also surprisingly close to the German Club. Overall a 7/10 stay.

Where do we start? TV not working, no parking, reception a joke, one staff member checking in everyone. Air circulation so noisy that we checked out as we couldn't sleep. Sleeping in the car would be more comfortable.

I had expected a swimming pool. It was out of order. There was no restaurant. Had trouble with wifi and free to air TV. Seemed to not have enough staff to cover number of guests.. There were problems with power in my room with lights shaking (not blinking). The staff who were on worked tirelessly to try to meet all guests needs.

Not worth the price!

Issues with IT led to long waits for check-in. My wait was 70mins, while many were longer. In spite of calling a week ahead about parking, I was left to discover there are only 20 car parks. This had not been detailed previously in word or text. While difficulties arise and patience is warranted, the lack of preparation of the entire IT and reception process was an omni-shamble.
