The fact that we spent nearly an hour, after numerous phone calls that went unanswered trying to access the room and would be still there waiting if the maintenance worker didn't come and sort it out for us. There was other people having the same problem as us, and also making unanswered phone calls

Was disappointed ,no reception staff,awkward check in ,no microwave in room ,showers way to small for an adult male ,water would go all over floor with shower curtain clinging to your body .Bed to short for 183 cm person .Channels 74 and 32 not working on TV so was unable to watch AFL or some decent SBS movies .

I booked two nights at Imperial Motel and paid extra for early check-in because I had a hospital appointment that afternoon. Despite this, they never sent me the entry code, and I spent over an hour on the phone, trying to get help… just like another reviewer warned. No one answered, and neither the motel nor Expedia was helpful in resolving it. Because of the delay, I missed my appointment, and ended up not staying the two nights at all. So far, there’s been no sign of a refund either. If Expedia helps sort it out, I’ll update this review. But right now, I would not recommend staying here, especially if you need reliability. To be fair, there were a few friendly cleaners buzzing around when I arrived but that was the only part that felt human. Otherwise, it’s completely unstaffed, and even if you pay for early check-in, don’t expect to receive a code or any support. Avoid.

You couldn’t shower with bathroom door open as there was a huge sign saying that the steam would cause the fire brigade to come and you would be charged $1500 TV was on mute and couldn’t be adjusted for sound Air conditioning only just working effectively

The check in process is terrible and there are no hotel staff on site to help. They claimed that they had sent a code to my email address but I did not receive it. Therefore I spent almost an hour on the phone speaking to the customer services representative just to gain access to my room. That is not what you need when you are tired after a long flight. I tried to persuade Expedia to move me to a different hotel but they refused to give me a refund. Apparently, if I want to cancel I must do so by 2pm on the day of arrival, but at 2pm I had not even arrived so I did not know how bad the experience was going to be. Also, as there are no hotel staff on site I don't know what would happen if there was a fire or a bomb scare. There would be no staff avalable to ensure that everyone had left the building safely. In my opinion a reputable organisation like Expedia should not list hotels like this one.

- The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan. When the smoke detector picks up steam from a hot shower, the alarms are triggered, alerting firefighters. This can result in a fine of 1,500 AUD. - We were woken up twice (at 4:30 AM and 6:30 AM) due to alarms from another room, which summoned the firefighters. - There was no prior notice regarding ongoing renovations in the building, and the noise during the day was unbearable. - Customer service over the phone was poor; the representatives showed no empathy and were quite rude. - The check-in process was inconvenient, especially for older guests. Some had to wait for hours outside because they were unsure how to enter the building and check in, as there was no receptionist available. - The parking area felt unsafe, particularly at night. -No hair dryer at all in all rooms. False information from expedia.

There is no reception so checking in took one hour. After confirmation of the hotel and money paid, we had to then submit id's and so on, ra ra ra to get access. For the savvy or experienced it probably is a great way to go.
