Unique property and lovely area

We had an enjoyable stay. The property is unique with lots of interesting features (stone stairs, fireplaces etc). It was well placed, with a large supermarket just down the road and easy access to beaches and other places of interest. The hosts were welcoming and assisted promptly with any issues we had. One comment would be that whilst there is wifi the signal is not very strong inside the house, although the hosts did provide a wired network connection as well which worked very well for us. Once connected the speed was very good. The area is quiet and peaceful and very relaxing. There is a large garden area with swings and sun loungers and this was a great place to sit on sunny evenings.

Warm welcome and super friendly hosts. Wheelchair accessible property was delightful

We had a super time at the charming, well equipped property. Our son Is an electric wheelchair user and we were able to accommodate his needs. Only concern was the listing says there is WiFi and there isn’t. Not a problem but should be updated.

Beautiful gite

Excellent weekend stay. The gite is easy to find, in a lovely location and the hosts could not be more friendly. The inside is well appointed (linens not provided, but that’s clear in the listing), everything else is well supplied and good quality. There is no internet, but that makes the getaway even more relaxing!

Hier ist eine freundliche und authentische Rezension, die euren Aufenthalt gut zusammenfasst:⸻Wundervoller Familienurlaub in der NormandieWir haben als Familie mit zwei Erwachsenen, drei Kindern und unserem Hund zwei wunderschöne Wochen in diesem charmanten Ferienhaus verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und in der für die Normandie typischen Bauweise gebaut – mit viel Charakter und liebevollen Details.Besonders der große Garten, in dem die Kinder und unser Hund viel Platz zum Spielen hatten, sowie die Terrasse mit Grillplatz, die zu entspannten Abenden einlud haben uns gefallen.Ein großes Dankeschön an die herzlichen Vermieter Myriam und Jean-François, die uns freundlich empfangen haben und jederzeit hilfsbereit waren ( vorallem die Gartentips). Vermieter sehr freundlich. Haus leider sehr feucht. Versprochenes wlan/Internet nur im Garten verfügbar. Der Garten ist allerdings sehr schön. Das Haus auch. Nur die Austattung neben kein Wlan auch älteres besteck/ältere Kinderbetten mit Geräuschen und wenig Kochwerkzeug wie Töpfe. Toiletten sehr schlecht belüftet, was bei 7 Nutzern schonmal problematisch ist.nichtDank des günstigen Preisniveaus immerhin 3 Sterne 3 Sterne

Petit séjour

Nous étions invités à un mariage dans notre famille à Cherbourg et nous avons loué le gîte pour les trois nuits que nous avons passé sur place. Les hôtes sont très disponibles et super accueillants : un petit café chaud nous attendait et un bouteille de cidre maison au frais.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce gîte qui permet de se rendre dans tous le nord Cotentin en moins de 40 mn. Le gîte est confortable, et aménagé dans le style de la région. Un grand merci au propriétaire pour leur gentillesse. Et pour leurs conversations qui ont participé à faire revivre mes fibres du Cotentin l'espace de ses vacances.

Familienurlaub mit Hunden

Wir waren Ende Juli 10 Tage mit unseren 3 Kindern (15, 17, 19) und unseren Hunden (Berner Sennenhund und viermonatiger Zwergpudel) hier auf Urlaub. Das Haus liegt ungefähr 10 min von Cherbourg entfernt, zentral zwischen Ost- und Westküste. Wir hatten einen schönen Garten dabei, wo unsere Hunde (und wir) herumtollen konnten. Das Haus ist ein für die Normandie typisches Steinhaus, also auch kühl und etwas feucht. Die Gastgeber wohnen nebenan und waren sehr freundlich und bemüht. Mit den Hunden erkundeten wir die vielen netten Wege und Straßen in der Umgebung. Trotz einiger Regentage und eher kühleren Wetters haben wir den Urlaub dort sehr genossen.

Rural accommodation, central location

We had a pleasant stay. Nice owners, with my bad French and their limited English, we managed to contact. House is close to some central roads, which makes all sights within a 30 minutes drive. Oven, washing machine and dryer are great. Kitchen a little small, but will do. Beds are fine. Garden with BBQ is nice.
