We arrived at night, and the gentleman was very nice and welcoming. He showed us to our rooms, which seemed clean except for a dirty toothbrush under the bed. The beds were comfortable. The next morning, we ate breakfast there, and I ordered eggs Benedict. The eggs were terrible. I recommend going elsewhere for breakfast since you have to pay for breakfast. Also, the young girl helping us was not very nice. She helped a young couple before us, and we had been sitting and waiting awhile.

This inn was very nice and close to Bowdoin. The property had self check in and was easy to get in and out. The tavern was warm and welcoming with a small and limited menu but the food was very good. We stayed during the off season and the property was very quiet. The staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful.

Exceptional service from staff and the quality of the food at dinner and breakfast were a delightful surprise. Rooms were classically beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The radiator heating was great and on the warm-side for sure. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely restored 1839 mansion with beautiful individually furnished rooms and a fabulous ground floor bar, living room & dining room. Would definitely go back.

This was last stop in our 10 day honeymoon trip. 165 was the perfect closeout. Choice to stay at 165 was how close you were to the train. We had lots of luggage and you were kind and held it while we toured town. Tell Curtis he made our stay special. Breakfast was one of the best even after being on a 6 day cruise.
