Tumbling Brook is a sage-green hard-wall yurt at Elk Hollow, tucked into a wooded glen with the deck raised up among the trees. It's cozy, quiet, and private, the loudest things birdsong and the wind, with deer and wild turkey passing through.

This is glamping, not camping. The walls are insulated, the comforts are real: a full kitchen, a spa-style bath, heat and AC, WiFi, and keyless entry. You'll fall asleep to the woods, which is the point.

🚗 GETTING HERE
The drive in is easy, no 4WD needed, but the yurt itself sits up in an elevated, wooded setting reached by about 20 steps, with another set down to the fire pit. It's not step-free, so pack light and skip this one if stairs are hard for you. Five minutes from downtown Bryson City, right by the Deep Creek entrance to the Smokies.

➳ GOOD TO KNOW
It's a wooded, elevated yurt, so you'll hear the birds and the wind and see more of the outdoors than you would in a cabin. It's glamping with a full kitchen, spa bath, and heat and AC, not roughing it, but the steps up are real and worth picturing before you book.
