Quiet, beautiful and safe apartment

Great location and is yet still very quiet and secluded away from the street noise. Beautiful high ceilinged old building with all the modern extras. Loved our stay here and Sophie was so lovely and helpful.

Wonderful Budapest apartment!

This is a lovely apartment in a great location! We walked to many places or jumped on the nearby metro. It is across the street from the Hungarian National Museum. The apartment is well-equipped, comfortable, and very quiet. We hope to stay again when we next return to Budapest!

Perfect stay in central Budapest

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. We arrived after midnight and Sophie's instructions for getting into the apartment were great. All her information was really useful. The apartment is spacious, clean & had everything we needed. It's close to the river, tram, metro and airport bus stop, so a perfect location. I would highly recommend this apartment :)

A perfect place to stay in Budapest!

A friend and I stayed here for a week. The apartment is lovely, well appointed and clean. It is within walking distance of many tourist sites, restaurants and venues, and is situated conveniently to many bus and transit lines. The airport 100 bus stop is across the street, so getting to and from the airport is a breeze! Sophia is communicative and accommodating.

Loved the apartment

This apartment was in a convenient location. The inside is adorable. It was spotless. The mattresses were comfortable. I thought the apartment was very cool. It has a local vibe. In NYC we don't have the courtyard style apartments. It seems like a common architectural style as even the Terror Museum was set up that way. I liked it. My family enjoyed staying there. It was easy to get in. It felt safe. We walked most places. My only advice is to get more comfortable blankets. The day bed didn't have sheets but somehow we made it work anyway. It was very helpful to have access to the washer. There were conveniently drying racks. I would highly recommend this place for your Budapest stay.

A place to make yourself at home

Character apartment, high ceilings, casement windows, etc. Excellent amenities — workable kitchen-eating area, comfortable living space, quiet sleeping, good bedside lighting and other details. Attentive and responsive host. Location on the tram line, across from the metro and airport bus stop, 400 metres from the central market and a further 50 metres to the riverside. Simply could not have been a better experience.

Enjoyed three excellent days in this centrally located apartment in historic Budapest building. Just steps from the Central Market...about 8 minutes to the Gellert Thermal Baths...very walkable. Apartment has two full bedrooms although one is more of a loft and requires climbing stairs to use the bathroom, etc. Still, it was perfect for us. Well equipped kitchen, very large bathtub. Building has a smallish elevator which made life easier since apartment is on the third floor. Definitely would recommend this property.

Great Stay in Budapest

We had a great stay in Budapest in this sweet little apartment. There was plenty of room for our family of 5. The apartment is on the top floor and in the back of the building (far away from street noise) and so it was quiet and lovely. We were able to sleep with windows open and not have noise problems at all. (There is also an AC unit for the nights when it was hot and still, which was also lovely!) The apartment is very convenient to the metro and to great eating places. Sophie was great at pointing us in the right direction for good food that wasn't in the heart of the tourist areas. She directed us to groceries and other areas around town too. Working with Sophie was great. She was very quick with replying to communications. She met us at the apartment to show us around and give us pointers. And she arranged for us to have a taxi waiting for us at 5am on the morning of our departure. We had a great time visiting Budapest and would recommend the apartment and location to anyone.

Excellent location, sweet and very clean apartment

Sophia was great in replying to emails and issues. The apartment is cozy and nicely furnished, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The building itself is near Kalvin place, a direct, 30-min. bus ride from the airport. Sophia met us there and showed us around the apt. so we felt good about the stay. The building itself is old and the facade and lighting in need of renovation yet we still felt safe. Major issues with the shower, we were unable to use it, Sophia has promised to do a partial reimbursement in compensation of the inconvenience and we hope she follows through. Thanks Goodness for the public bathhouses and the bathtub in the apartment. All being said, we would gladly return to this apartment.

Clean, large apartment in great location

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 15 year old, 10 year old), stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. Sophie, the owner, was easy to work with and answered all of our email questions promptly. The apartment has a great location. The apartment is located across from the street from the Budapest National Museum. The direct bus to the airport (Bus 100E) is also across the street and the Kalvin ter metro stop is at the corner. We walked almost everywhere as many sights are within a 20 minute walk. There are several restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk and a small grocery store 5 minutes away. The apartment was very comfortable and immaculately clean. The master bedroom was large with a comfortable queen sized bed and a single day bed. The loft bedroom upstairs also had a comfortable double bed. The bathroom was large with plenty of hot water. The apartment is located on a busy street, but as it is located at the back of the apartment complex away from the street, we only experienced absolute silence. There is also a lift available if you would prefer not to walk the stairs. One of the best apartments we have stayed in using Homeaway and I would highly recommend!

Cute apartment, great location

Four-day stay was great. Apartment had everything we needed for our family. While it looks like this place is on a main road, the apartment itself is setback and very quiet - I mean very quiet. You wouldn't think you're even in the city. Owner is great and was helpful in every way. Location is central to sights and restaurants.
