Just a mile from the beautiful beach at Crackington Haven near Bude, Penrose Cottage is a spacious and characterful five-bedroom home set in lovely mature gardens. Full of charm and comfort, it's a peaceful, dog-friendly spot that's perfect for family holidays, coastal getaways, or relaxed weekends with friends.

Tucked away on a quiet country lane and surrounded by rolling hills, Penrose Cottage has plenty of traditional character, with beams, cosy corners, and countryside views from many of the rooms. Inside, there's loads of space to spread out and unwind. The open-plan kitchen and dining area is the heart of the home — with a classic AGA, big farmhouse table, and everything you need for lazy breakfasts or family dinners. There's also a separate kitchen with modern appliances and a handy utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and extra fridge. The sitting room is warm and welcoming, with comfy sofas and a wood-burning stove that's perfect for evenings in. The bright sun room opens straight onto the garden and makes a great spot for reading, playing board games, or just taking in the view.

Upstairs, there are five bedrooms sleeping up to ten guests; two king-size rooms, a double, a twin, and a bunk room suitable for children. Two rooms have en-suite showers, and there's also a family bathroom with both a bath and a corner shower.

Outside, the garden is a real treat. It's spacious and partly enclosed, with lawns, mature trees, and colourful flowerbeds. There's a patio with rattan dining furniture and a barbecue for alfresco meals, plus a timber summerhouse that doubles as a play den or a quiet spot for a morning coffee. The garage has a full-size table tennis table for a bit of friendly competition, too.
