There is also a fabulous garden outside with a barbecue, patio furniture and hot tub. Pen Y Maes is ideally for a family or group of friends wishing to explore the beautiful Powys in Mid Wales. Home to craft stores and many collectors’ fairs, this is also the ideal location for walking, pony trekking and mountain biking. Across the River Wye lies the Royal Welsh Showground, home to the famous Royal Welsh Show, which brings an explosion of colour to the town every July, along with many other events taking place throughout the year.
