Great hotel with a great location if you’re visiting UVM. Every time we visit we always have a nice time. Rooms are spacious enough and always feel very clean. Only downside this time was the A/C in the room was not working well. Will come back every time we visit!

Always love staying here for UVM events. It’s within walking distance to the University. We have also walked down to the waterfront from here as well. Great service, especially the ladies serving dinner.

The staff was so accommodating and helpful. Anything we needed corrected they did it fast and with a smile. The Tavern was amazing. The bartender Erin Carpenter was efficient, friendly and great.

Our room was in what must be the oldest part of this sprawling place. There wall AC unit at eye level was full of dust (imagine your dryer’s full lint filter. There was a musty smell in the stairway, the ice machine was out of order, the shower has seen better days, and the front desk attendant did not recognize me as a diamond honors member. Told me at check in that I would have to purchase a bottle of water if I wanted one. The bartender was nice, though. But, we wont be back.

We love the friendly staff and wide open spaces. We love the atrium for breakfast buffet and the bar was good on a rainy afternoon. We have stayed here twice in the last month. The first time we had a very nice room very close to the pool and fitness center and not far from the main lobby and a view of the pool area. The second time we booked through Expedia to get a better price and we were given a very inferior room. Smaller, chipped ceiling paint and dirty grout lines in bathroom, no microwave and only plastic cups. I asked to be near the pool area as we were planning on using it and it was almost the last room in a very long hallway. I was very disappointed but I did not complain. I will still go back to this hotel but I will definitely be aware of what room they are giving me.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel in the last 4 months. The first time was so great that we knew exactly that we were going to come back to this hotel, however this stay was not nearly as good as our first. First off the pack and play for my infant was not already in the room (no big deal but it was on the reservation and I got a message from the hotel saying that it would be ready for us like it was the first time) but it came quickly afterwards. There was blood on the sheets of the one bed, the fridge did not work which we didn’t find out until the morning (it was on and making sound) but our milk for my infant was spoiled and all of our groceries we bought, and my ice that was in the freezer was melted and it had been in there for over 12hrs. Lastly, when we were getting ready for bed we found a wolf spider in the sheets. (I can’t add photos on Expedia but check google, I added it there). Made it very hard to fall asleep comfortably after finding that in the bed. Also there was no microwave in the room for warming my infants bottles like there was the first time. The front desk staff at check in and out were super friendly and offered us a cookie which we didn’t get offered the first stay but we will probably stay elsewhere next time.
