The space
Experience the charm of a rustic Swiss Chalet without the need for a passport! This lovingly decorated retreat caters to both kids and adults with game rooms, a screened porch, and fire pits. While you're in town, you'll still enjoy the privacy you desire.

Family-Friendly: In the basement, discover a spacious seasonal (not heated) game room with mini pool, ping pong, darts, pop shot, and more. The upstairs den/game room offers Wii, darts, wall checkers, and a selection of board games and puzzles.

Bedrooms: On the main level, there are two bedrooms (K, TT) and a full bathroom. Upstairs, two bedrooms (one open with 4 twins and a privacy curtain) plus another King which share a full bath. Although the full bathroom is under the peaked roof, it functions surprisingly well. If needed, you can always use the spacious downstairs shower for added convenience.

Kitchen: A well-equipped, newly renovated kitchen includes a stocked coffee bar for your stay. Plus, there's a nearby Ingles grocery store for your additional cooking needs.

Living: The main living room features a new faux fireplace, a TV for streaming services, a comfortable sectional, and a dining table that seats 10.

Outdoor Delights: Enjoy the wrap-around deck for outdoor dining by the gas grill, or relax in the screened porch with comfortable seating, a gas fire pit and a heating lamp for those chilly evenings. A wood fire pit below comes complete with ample wood for roasting marshmallows.

Additional Notes:
Access to the house from the driveway is up 5 stone steps and then another 3 wood steps to the deck where you can access the whole first floor (bedrooms, bathroom, living, kitchen, dining and screened porch). It is NOT wheelchair accessible and you must be able to climb stairs.

The Chalet is a 0.5-mile drive up the mountain from town and may require 4WD in winter. Please be aware that snowy conditions are unpredictable, and there are no refunds for weather-related issues, as you are booking a mountain cabin during the winter months. Travel insurance is highly recommended!

Basic essentials such as linens, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, coffee (both Keurig and traditional), soap, dish soap, dishwasher and laundry detergent, and gas tanks (may require refilling) are all provided for your convenience.
Other things to note
*Wooded areas are home to critters such as but not limited to deer, bear, squirrels, rodents, spiders, ants and insects. We are contracted with a pest control company with scheduled treatments; however, we cannot guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in or around the chalet. The presence of any such critters does not entitle the guest to a refund. Please do not leave doors or windows open without screens!

*To protect your vacation investment, we encourage you to purchase travel insurance. Outside of the applicable cancellation policy for your booking no refunds will be given due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

This chalet offers its guests barbecue grills, an arcade/game room, and laundry facilities. The front desk is open around the clock.
