The Space:

Cockatoo Lodge is Villa 16 within the peaceful Rivendell Winery Estate, combining relaxed country living with the comfort and convenience needed for an effortless getaway. Large windows and sliding doors invite natural light throughout the home while framing tranquil views across the surrounding bushland and neighbouring vineyards, creating a calm setting to slow down and unwind.



At the heart of the home, the open-plan living area provides plenty of room to gather after a day exploring the region. Comfortable seating, a large TV and serene rural outlooks make it easy to settle in for quiet evenings or leisurely mornings. The adjoining kitchen is thoughtfully equipped for preparing everything from quick breakfasts to shared holiday feasts, with generous bench space and modern appliances. Nearby, the dining area brings everyone together around the table, while sliding doors connect seamlessly to the covered alfresco.



Outside, the spacious patio extends the living space into the fresh country air. Fire up the BBQ, enjoy long lunches overlooking the bushland surrounds, or relax with a glass of local wine as the day winds down. The peaceful outlook and natural setting make outdoor dining a highlight of the stay.



The main bedroom offers a king bed, a private sitting area with TV and a full ensuite. Three additional bedrooms branch from a separate activity retreat, creating a practical layout for groups and families. Bedroom two features a king bed, bedroom three offers a queen bed, and bedroom four includes two single beds. The family bathroom includes both a bath and separate shower, with a separate toilet for added convenience. A dedicated laundry with washing facilities supports longer stays, while estate amenities including the winery, gardens and shared tennis court are all within easy walking distance.



Parking is available in the driveway; the garage is not for use.



Guest Access:

During your stay, you and your group will have the entire villa to yourselves. The winery functions independently and is open from 10am to 5pm Thursday to Sunday. Please make yourselves at home!



The Neighborhood:

Located within the peaceful Rivendell Winery Estate in Yallingup, this home is surrounded by native bushland, picturesque dams, open fields and the estate’s renowned gardens. Wake to birdsong, enjoy a quiet morning with complimentary organic loose-leaf tea, and unwind in the evening with a glass of local Margaret River wine overlooking the vineyards. Guests can stroll to the onsite cellar door for coffee and scones, wine tastings or gourmet grazing boards, or enjoy a game on the shared tennis court. Popular local destinations including Aravina Estate, Wild Hop Brewery and Goanna Café are all within a short drive, while Smiths Beach and Dunsborough can be reached in around ten minutes.



Getting Around:

A great range of tour companies service the area as well as a taxi service out of Dunsborough. We recommend Mr Mustang hire for something fancy, South West Charters, Taste the South or Cellar D'Or tours for a bigger group. Contact us for more information.

Please read and respect the house rules. This is very much appreciated, thank you! Before your arrival, we will also share a house guide that contains instructions on how to access the property, use certain appliances, and anything else you may need to know.



Quiet Hours & Noise Complaints:

Please keep noise to a minimum after 10:00pm in line with local regulations.

We kindly ask all guests to respect the property and surrounding neighbours during their stay. Please be aware that noise complaints are a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in the forfeit of your bond and/or possible immediate eviction from the property.



School Leavers:

We do not accept any school leavers bookings at any time of the year.



NOTE FOR THE TV:

For the TV, the signal from the antenna has always been in and out here; it is something that unfortunately is out of our control. All the TVs are smart TVs and channels are available to stream.



Interaction with Guests:

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything or require assistance. We are here to make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as we can. In the unlikely event that you experience any difficulties, our offices are open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

As a guest of this villa, you'll find barbecue grills, a garden, and laundry facilities. The front desk is open around the clock.
