Mattresses on the beds were very soft and uncomfortable. A better starter kit would be nice. I.e., paper towels, hand soap, salt and pepper, basics needed to start your vacation without having to rush back out before things close. Back yard needs to be raked and get old garbage out of the yard.

perfect little home close to the beach

nice fall trip to say goodbye to the beach for the season. I will definetly try and book this home for the spring season. Fenced in yard was a plus and the home was nice and cozy.

Fall stay

First off the road and driveway was flooded then when we finally were able to get in with the door code the house was filthy, dog hair everywhere. I went to the closet thinking I would just run the sweeper and mop but both were full of dog hair. Went to the closest store and bounght a swiffer mop and did the best I could until they could send out someone to clean on Monday. They came and did a decent job but took my new swifter I bought and left the pads for it. Crazy, but we ended up leaving early due to the flooding happening again on the road a few days later and we were just over it. Will be our last time to the island sad that it was not a good experience.

After walking around we noticed just how unclean it was.

The location was wonderful, contact with the property management was good, although it's not directly with an owner. Initially the property looked cleaned, but after walking around you notice many things that house keeping could do better. The smell in the house is awful. They have one of those ozone odor eliminator, but that does not work. Also, there were many soft spots throughout the flooring of the house, a board loose on the side walking up the steps, and the screen was tore on one of the back.doors. For the price you just naturally expect a house that is being well maintained.

Great OBX experience. Close to beach and restaurants. The stairs were a bit too much for our 13yo dog and 84 yo father but thats my fault for not thinking.

Comfortable home!

This home is very comfortable! We watched a beautiful sunrise and sunset from the front porch. Our puppies loved the fenced in yard to run around in. The Buxton Beach is very small and during high tide the water is close to the homes that are right on the beach. We drove onto the beaches elsewhere to go to the beach, which was fun! We had a great vacation!
