A wonderful cottage located in the heart of the Peak District.. Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. External utility room with tumble dryer and washing machine (shared with other properties on-site). Front garden with garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Friars Folly is a two-bedroom property located on Monks Dale Farm. On the ground floor there is a spacious kitchen fully equipped with all you need to prepare a wonderful meal, with a dining table and chairs to seat all guests. A comfortable living room awaits where you can put your feet up in front of the electric wood burner and TV after a day’s walking. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a twin and a double, plus a family bathroom with shower over the bath. To the front of the house is a garden area you can enjoy; it is perfect to sit out on a summer’s evening reflecting on the day you have enjoyed. A utility room is provided and shared between the other properties on site, it is a great place for hanging wet coats or boots as well as a washing machine and dryer.

The views from Monks Retreat are beautiful; just a short walk away you have an extensive panorama of seven dales and can see far out into the distance to the high moorlands of Axe Edge and Kinder Scout. The Limestone Way trail runs directly through the farm so you can easily hope on to this for your first exciting Peak District walk, there are many in the area such as Monsal Trail, High Peak Trail and Tissington Trail to name a few. Local to the property is Buxton town which offers an array of restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as the famous opera house that has shows on regularly. Bakewell and Matlock are also nearby to explore, as well as Chatsworth House. After you have enjoyed a fun-filled day head down to the local pub to enjoy some local ales and home cooked food.
