Room felt like it was down in the basement… no elevator to 1st floor. Food was edible. Entertainment was mid at best, especially for New Year’s Eve. Cruise ships parked in front of the arch EVERYDAY. Staff was friendly and hospitable. Place was clean. Drinks were weak like every other all inclusive. Nothing over the top.

We had multiple issues with the staff and miscommunications. The spa had a lukewarm hot tub, smelly bathroom, and the massage for couples was mediocre for the $600 price tag. Best part was the food, especially on New Years, they went all out on seafood. Hence 2 stars instead of 1.

Would have been 5/5 but there was a glitch on their online check in which only checked in 1 person instead of 2 that was on the booking and having some issues on the actual hotel check in, thankfully the staff were very helpful and was able to resolve it in less than an hour.

We come back to this hotel every year. We love the staff, clean rooms and fantastic amenities. We are close to everything and never disappoints. The only thing is that there is no valet parking anymore and I always rent a car.

Rooms definitely clean and well maintained in terms of room service, but we were not given the room type we had reserved (asked for king bed, were given two twin beds). Staff were amazing and service was great. Very friendly and helpful. Pools were clean and not too crowded, but no shaded areas. All inclusive buffet had enough variety, quality was okay. We didn't like the Mexican restaurant, but the Italian restaurant was good. It was actually the only place I could find a decent alcoholic beverage -- something that really contains some alcohol. All pool-side alcoholic beverage was just non-alcoholic really, but you have enough at the room mini bar to enjoy real alcohol if needed. Neon party at Riu Santa Fe was amazing. The water park was mostly for children. Overall, I'd say 3 days was enough for me -- five days was too long. Overall, it was okay, but my spouse was happier with the experience than me.

The facility was beautiful. Staff is tremendous. My only negative comment is for an adults only there was not a quiet pool available. At times it’s nice to not be around all the loud music and activities. This resort is geared towards a young crowd. The parties at the Sante Fe next door are very loud and not geared towards the over 50 crowd. There was little to no entertainment in the evening if you were not attending these parties. Overall great experience but if you are looking for a mature adults only I would not recommend it

Seagulls (birds) are a major issue. Something needs to be done. Also I was locked out of my room due to a bottle of wine that I charged to my room at dinner the night before, to be paid for at check out. However they deactivated my room key because the wine was an outstanding balance. Made no sense why it couldn’t be paid for at check out. Got them to reactivate my room card, and told them any room charges will be cleared up at check out. Other than that; Staff were fantastic. Rooms and hotel was stunning. It was odd that there’s a random tub in the middle of the room. Walked right into it in the dark. Food was good (not great)

The room was OK. I upgraded to a lead and the room smelled horrible but mildew they were supposed to give me a bottle of champagne. They did not the sheets were dirty. I went to a restaurant and the hostess called me fat and she was not skinny herself. the upgrade was not worth it. There was not a club on the premises and not too many parties maybe one a day. I also didn’t like that the pool closed at 7 PM for an adult all inclusive. That is way too early.
