Historic 1860s Trading Post Cabin On 40 Acre Ranch

Step back in time at this authentic, hand-hewn 800 sq ft log cabin, originally built in the 1860s as a Trading Post. Nestled on 40 private acres in peaceful Cahone, Colorado, this passion-project restoration blends historic charm with all the modern conveniences you need for a relaxing or adventurous getaway.

Greeted by a striking bear carving on the covered front porch, you'll feel the history the moment you arrive. Inside, enjoy an open bedroom (no door) with a comfortable queen-size bed, plus a cozy living room featuring a queen-size futon for extra sleeping space. Unwind in the separate sitting room with two armchairs, perfect for reading, planning adventures, or simply soaking in the quiet.

The full kitchen is ready for your meals: gas stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishwasher, pots/pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, and basic spices. There's a kitchen table for four, plus a work area/countertop with bar stools; underneath is an electrical outlet for easy phone charging.

The bathroom offers luxury touches including a marble floor, double sink with granite countertop, and a beautiful claw-foot tub/shower combo.

Step outside to the Weber grill for evening barbecues, or hike the surrounding 40 acres to spot deer, elk (more deer than elk), and soaring bald eagles. Watch stunning sunrises or sunsets right from the property.
