A beautiful property and quiet oasis among the trees. So comfortable and spotless, with modern amenities and even a little pool. We just loved our stay and saw so many birds and other wild life from the outdoor lounge area. Also very close to town and lovely beaches. Host was very welcoming too.

Stunning jungle retreat

This magnificent property is the gorgeous oasis you didn't know existed in the community known as Playa Negra - just outside of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Limon.The designer's vision for Casa Velero (sailboat in Spanish) was remarkable, and carried throughout this home. From the magnificent pitched rooves to the railings on the deck, to the aqua-colored concrete, to the navy-colored cushions on the couch, to the blue and white striped accent pillows, this home is GORGEOUS. The fence around the triangle-shaped pool allows for freedom and privacy as you bask in the warm Costa Rican sun. The canopy of majestic trees meant we were visited by howler monkeys and a variety of birds we didn't recognize... but had fun watching!The property is fenced and secure, complete with a large gate you can open to park a car - if you have one. Eco-conscious, there are 110 and 220 plugs in the car park for electric vehicles. If a car isn't your jam, no worries. You can easily get to town on foot or rent bikes! And here's the best part about this rental... the property manager, Rodolfo. Rodolfo is literally a godsend, and the most kind and genuine human being you could imagine. His pre-visit communication is prompt and through. He thinks of things you don't even know you need - like offering to get items from the local grocery and have them stocked and waiting for your arrival. He can arrange for bikes to be delivered to the home, and assured us he was available for whatever we needed.
