Everything is good. The only thing I didn’t like was the WIFI connection from our room, it was weak or none signal at all. We asked the front desk if we could get a different room or they could do something to help, twice we got answers that they would but it never happened

Pleasant hotel, great staff. Transport nearby.

Enjoyed our 3 day stay, room was comfortable and clean apart from the bathroom ceiling extraction vent that appeared dark , think dusty and a haven for mould to develop when not regularly cleaned. All staff were terrific. Food at the restaurant we had was tasty and well prepared. Plenty of nice areas in the grounds surrounding the hotel for relaxation. Neighbouring property had a workman outside our room creating horrendous noise from machine churning up huge tree trunks. No chance to continue to sleep in from tiredness that day as woken by horrendous loud noises then for hours. Hopefully a short term problem for guests once job is completed. Complimentary shuttle to Cairns night market area was appreciated.

Staff in EVERY department performed OVER & ABOVE my expectations. The BEST hotel I've ever stayed. In Reception, the housekeeping, the kitchen, the bar, the yard staff ... wherever I came in contact with STAFF, they more than met my needs ... and then asked if there was anything else they could do. And ALL so neatly and proudly wearing their Company Uniforms. I've travelled 10 years in a good variety of hotels. This one has age showing, but remains most comfortable. Room 627 is simply brilliant. It's in a great location, too - yes, the hotel is 3 k from the CBD, but oh, how lovely and quiet that makes it! Definitiely commendable - and I HAVE already recommended it to others. Job well done Cairns Harbourside Hotel staff. Thank you so much. Jackie O'Neill

Room was nice, glad to have a bathtub. The hotel was at the far end of the Esplanade, a bit far to the central area of Cairns, - about a 25 min walk to Rusty's market, the Night Market, and the Lagoon. The shuttle bus was a nice touch, but the hours are limited. They were upgrading the wifi, which meant I had essentially no wifi for the four nights I spent there. Minor things that were quickly remedied - one morning at 7:30 am an alarm and loud speaker announced "Be ready to evacuate". I went down to the desk, it was a "false alarm". There was also a period one day when there was no hot water, as there was a water heater problem.

I stayed in a sea view room, and the view was absolutely beautiful – definitely the highlight of the stay. However, a few things were missing that I would normally expect in a hotel of this level. There were no slippers provided, no small shampoo or conditioner, and no minibar in the room. The TV also didn’t support YouTube, which was a bit disappointing for in-room entertainment. Overall, the room itself and the view were excellent, but I think adding these small amenities would make the experience much more comfortable.

Convenient location, friendly staff

Stayed twice on the same trip to Cairns with a couple of days in between. Great location, very close to hospital, but a short drive into town. On 2nd visit got upgraded room which was nice. Sip and Eats happy hours downstairs was nice although it was drizzly on 2nd visit. Didn't use other facilities as late in and early out.
