Beautiful family home great location

This house is charming and is well located for enjoying the Perigord. Tremolat has two great restaurants (one world class) and and good neighbourhood bar/café. The house has everything you’d want but as others have noticed, a bit less in the cupboards would help visitors stow their own kitchen stuff. I would have added one more star if there were garden furniture stuff such as parasols to cover the sitting out areas.

Beautiful location for a family holiday

Typical French cottage on the banks of the river. Location couldn’t be better with direct access to a slow flowing deep part of the river and a 15 minute walk to the village. Also within easy driving distance of Sarlat, Bergerac and many beautiful villages. Gîte accommodation ideal for family group. Only limitation was the size of the kitchen and lack of food storage space. However, given the lovely weather this was not a problem as all meals could be eaten outside.

Great French gites in an out-of-the-way location

Thanks Anne and Elodie! Very well appointed house near Trémolat in Perigord, Dordogne. Air conditioning downstairs very appreciated given the heat wave. Space to cook and eat in and outside in lovely garden. Our sister and mother rented the place next door which has a pool - used all the time in July! Elodie the house manager was very easy to contact on email and WhatsApp - we managed to translate each others messages and she was able to meet us even though we arrived later than we expected on a Saturday. The only caveat is that there is very little around in terms of shops and amenities. There are no grocery shops in Trémolat - not even a Tabac! - and the boulangerie is operating only irregularly. There are fabulous farmers markets in surrounding towns between 15-40 minutes away, so shop big on the way and make sure you have all the wine/bread you need. Very restful stay so near the river - thanks!

Stunning location

The setting and location is truly stunning. I shall never forget the views that met you when you opened the shutters in the morning. The house is a much loved family home, comfortable and lived in. 10 minutes walk to the little village which had a few lovely restaurants. Very accommodating hosts. Only thing that we wished was that the air conditioning was in the bedrooms as well as the living room.

Lovely property

The house is in a beautiful position, right next to the river, and it's easy to visit lots of interesting places nearby. The gardens are lovely and very big, and were perfect for our kids to run around. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped. We had a really lovely time, many thanks for letting us stay.

Lovely place near the Dordogne River.The house is very complete. The only thing we missed was an airconditioning on the upper floor, as we encountered a heat wave during our stay. Fortunately the ground floor main room was nice and cool.

Maison propre et agréable

Un bon séjour dans une maison conforme à l'annonce. Propre, bien située au coeur du Périgord, climatisation très appréciée les jours de grande chaleur, suffisamment grande pour que 8 personnes puissent cohabiter sans se marcher sur les pieds ! Petit bémol, beaucoup de moustiques, c'est sans doute dû à la situation au bord de l'eau !

Ruhig und idyllisch

Herrlich, direkt am langsam dahintreibenden Fluss, großes ruhiges Grundstück. Lediglich der schmale Zugang zum Steg sollte mal wieder freigeschnitten werden.

Grande propriété très bien équipée à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur et adaptée à un séjour calme au sein du Périgord noir. L'accès direct à la Dordogne est intéressant pour pêcher. La climatisation a été très appréciée pendant la période de canicule de notre séjour. Nous recommandons

Loved our stay at Le port. Brilliantly positioned on the river and so easy to walk into the village for coffee, restaurants etc. tremolat is a very special village. Love to come back here.
