A perfect stay...

The converted farm building was comfortable, spacious and modern. The owner spoke good English if your French is not great! Kitchen facilities were excellent. Toilets and showers on both floors. Polished tiles on the ground floor and bare floorboards upstairs help keep everything clean, but are worth noting if you're a bit unsure on your feet. Small, enclosed, private garden, with plenty of seating. Off road parking along the side of the property. Two friendly Labrador dogs from the farm were occasional visitors and although discouraged by the farm owners, they were very welcome! Cambes en Plaine is a very small, very quiet village, with a supermarket (which was closed during the week we visited in August), bakery, hairdresser and post office, so you need to travel for any major shopping. That said, Caen, the nearest town, is only 15 minutes away and features a great market on Sundays. There is also a large supermarket on the way into Caen. Overall, this accommodation was perfect for our family of four and we would have no hesitation in returning another year.

Large comfortable home with plenty of room for 3 generations

This house was perfect for us. All 6 of us ranging in age from 80 to 8 had space to be together without crowding. The kids had the backyard and swing set to play on plus some sheep to visit with around the corner. There was a great bakery 2 blocks away for breakfast treats. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The location was away from the city but a quick drive to the Normandy battlefields and restaurants in Caen. The owner was friendly and helpful.

Heerlijk onvergetelijke vakantie

Prachtig huis met een heerlijke tuin, in een mooie omgeving. Wij waren hier met 5 personen ( variërend van 50 tot 83 jaar) en een hond van 10/6 tot 24/6. Gastvrij ontvangst en heerlijke bedden. Het huis heeft wel een vrij steile trap en 2 hoge opstapjes. Voor oudere mensen kan dit een probleem zijn. Wij hebben een topvakantie gehad met alleen maar mooi weer, en hebben genoten van alle bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving.
