This little out-of-the-way home has beautiful views with a lovely outdoor patio to enjoy it. The host and her family were wonderful, very friendly and offered many great local insights! The location is high in the hills above the main part of town. They have parking at the house, which is sparse in the actual town. It is possible to walk to various places from the house but there are lots of hills so suggest good walking shoes/stamina. The rooms are smaller with very basic items available, kitchen area is tiny so don’t plan to make large/complicated meals. The pull-out couch/bed was very uncomfortable, but the regular bed was very nice. Not much ventilation in the room (especially bathroom) so a bit musty. Rooms have mosquito nets in the doorways to keep out the midges/mosquitos but do prepare for bugs- it is a humid tropical climate in summer so they’re inevitable. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, but recommended not to book just one room if anyone has to sleep on couch/pull out- just pay for an additional room.
