Here’s a short review based on your points: ⸻ I had a mixed experience during my stay. On the positive side, the staff were truly outstanding—friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout. Check-in was also quick and easy, which I appreciated. However, the location right next to the highway made it very noisy, and I had trouble sleeping. Several facilities weren’t functional during my visit, the pool was uncomfortably cold, and food options on-site were quite limited. Overall, while the service stood out, other aspects fell short of expectations.

Absolute Bliss!

A beautiful place if you are looking for relaxation. The staff are amongst the best hotel staff I’ve ever met, so attentive, especially being a solo traveller. There is so much to explore, with its many bar areas, private little beach which is stunning and just what the doctor ordered. I’d say it is quite far from everything so I wouldn’t advise staying there if (like me) you can’t sit still and want to visit playa del carmen, tulum etc. I’d also say the only thing is the noise from the road. I read reviews prior to booking and didn’t think it would bother me but it literally sounded like cars were in your room from around 11pm - 1/2am. But other than that it was perfect!

The resort is very unique and the staff is wonderful. Especially enjoyed Selene, Milton, and Ivonne. The breakfast was delicious and several offerings on the lunch/dinner menu have fun presentations. The pools were lovely; I paid extra for a swim up room. The beach area was a bit small with a few jellyfish noted. There is ongoing construction/repairs but no noise. We did kill two roaches, but our door opened to outside. Only negative is the distance to public beach/dining options in Cancun. But the website is clear on these issues; expected with a non all inclusive resort. Ubers we’re prompt, safe, and accessible. Ubers are forbidden to pick up fares; we walked a short distance from the airport to get one and got in the front passenger side door. Saved quite a bit compared to the resort shuttle. FYI if you need two different terminals when you depart, let your Uber know as I had to pay $50 to get to a different terminal than my daughter😡

this was a really good price and the place itself was really unique, the staff was super friendly, however just want to give everyone the info I wish I had, the area was hit by a storm and a lot of the beach area is not operational, the swimming area is more of like a marsh area than the ocean , air conditioning does not work that well and also will not operate without a room key left in the slot thing that acts as a circuit breaker. YOU CAN HEAR THE MAIN ROAD COMICALLY WELL ALL NIGHT, MOTOROCYCLES GOING BY EVERY TWO SECONDS. It sounds like theres a speaker at the door amplifying it. The food was really good here and the staff was super nice, also this is close to the airport, not the entire hotel zone.

Some reviews that I read really complained about the road noise. It wasn't as bad as the worst reviews, but it wasn't something you could ignore when it was at its worst (motorbikes racing at night). The rooms are not soundproofed as they say in the listing. There's no sign they tried to, what with single-pane windows on the room door. (Why are there windows on the doors at all?) They put a lot of effort into certain aspects of the facilites but then they don't have other things, like hairdryers in the rooms. Breakfast is very light, so don't really think of breakfast being "included". Food is delicious but not really priced in line with Mexican prices.

It was a very secluded hotel, very quiet. Property is like an Amazon jungle. There is no beach to swim at. But there are beaches close. Love the area that they had for the beach that had pool access close to it.

The first three night were not good, no hot water to shower. They accommodated with another room, of equal value. Our room was on the lower area closest to the pool with the statues, but it was at street level and it was very noisy at night and the mornings. Because the hotel is located near wetland areas, be advised to bring or buy mosquito repellent. Mosquitoes entered our room being close to the pool and our evenings, so we had to use the repellant.. Overall, the staff was nice, the property is beautiful with lots of cute amenities, i.e. rooftop pools, private beach, etc... for the value of that area and the convenience to the airport, it is appropriately priced. However..... I will say, that their shuttle service to and from the airport should be free. Their price of 30 dollars us is too much for a 10 minute ride. I'm still contemplating a return visit, but will consider other locations also.

Its a good place if you’re looking to get away from the crowds, I was in the 2 floor ( fire) and the noises from the road were a little annoying, there is a lot of areas that are closed because they are repairing them, but is a pretty boutique hotel, we had bad luck with the “sargazo” ( nasty algae) but that was the whole riviera maya, so the beach wasn’t good, still we had a good time. Staff was incredible, really kind and courteous, Ivan from marketing team was stellar, and Milton and Lupita from the servers where really awesome… food was amazing, the chef deserves a couple Michelin stars for sure, thanks to all the Akuazul team… you guys rock!!!

It was off very busy and loud highway with traffic noise heard easily within room and property. 15 minute (85$) taxi from airport. Dark at night, 1 unfriendly security who did not speak English, hookers outside hotel gate and felt unsafe. Room had torn furniture, leaky tap, musty order, wooden door facing highway, garbage/ tarpaulin strewn across from patio, stains bathroom sink/floor and bugs in room. Lady on desk was very friendly however. Avoid at all costs. Will not recommend or return.
