Garza Blanca – Worst All-Inclusive Experience I’ve Ever Had Our family visit an all-inclusive resort every year, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I will never return to Garza Blanca, nor will I recommend it to anyone. 1. Concierge Name: Claudia This was one of the worst parts of our stay. Claudia persistently pressured us to sign up for the timeshare presentation, even though we clearly told her we were not interested. She repeatedly stopped us to question why we weren’t taking the “promotional offer,” which was actually a 90-minute presentation with lunch. I told her multiple times that I would let her know if I changed my mind, but she still tried to schedule it for us. When I declined, her demeanor changed instantly. She lost interest in helping us with anything else, including our request to book a hydrotherapy spa treatment. She claimed the spa rarely answered the phone and suggested I go there myself. When I asked her to call, the spa answered immediately. Claudia told me they only had 11:00 AM or 5:00 PM available. However, when I went to the spa in person, they told me they had availability all day and even gave me a tour, the hydrotherapy area was completely empty. Claudia lied. After that, she stopped greeting us entirely. It was clear her role as a concierge ended for us the moment she realized she wouldn’t get credit for booking a timeshare presentation. This gave a terrible impression of how the resort views guests, as nothing more than

We recently stayed at this resort and were impressed by how beautiful and clean everything was. The rooms were updated, modern, and spotless. The pools were just as lovely—sleek, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing. The food was absolutely amazing with plenty of delicious options. We traveled with small children, and while they enjoyed themselves, there weren’t many activities geared toward kids. This is definitely more of a place to relax and unwind rather than a destination packed with entertainment. The only downside was the tipping situation. Even though it’s an all-inclusive resort, the staff would bring you a bill after ordering food for you to sign and would strongly encourage tipping based on inflated prices shown on the bill. While tipping is appreciated in Mexico, it felt a bit pushy and higher than expected. Overall, it’s a great spot for couples or adults looking to relax in a clean, modern, and peaceful setting, but not ideal for families seeking a lot of activities.

The property is very modern and clean. The service however is not what I would expect from a resort of this caliber. First off, with an all inclusive package, you have to sign a receipt each time you order something. This includes the pool bar! If you walk away without closing out your tab the staff chases you. We left the pool one day and the bar called the room 4 times for me to come down and close out the $0.00 tab! The most annoying part was that every chair by the pool Was reserved by the staff! I went to the pool at 7am to get a chair and they were all reserved. One of the staff members told me that if I paid him $40 he would let me sit there. This happened every day! All inclusive resort and each chair by the pool is $40? I checked in the lobby and the representative there told me that’s not how it works, but wasn’t surprised… probably means it’s a common thing. There much better options out there to go and enjoy!

Didn’t like that they wanted you to take a tour and become a me member at 7am the day after we arrived. When we didn’t do the tour it seemed we were no longer important to them. Had to call several times to get mini bar and fridge restocked, was unable to use any of my resort credits, and constantly tried to upsell my beverage items even though advertised as all inclusive. The property is beautiful but lacked in activities thru the day and evening hours. Nothing to do but pay to go on carousel or listen ti light music. The food was good but air conditioning in restaurants would be nice, not very hungry when you are sweating! Overall nice resort but would not rate it as a five star, lacking the amenities and upgrades we were expecting.

The service by the pool and restaurants was top notch all inclusive and we are super spoiled. Great service! House keeping was non existent as we had to call multiple times each day to get our room cleaned and they’d show up when you were trying to get ready for dinner or relax after the day out. Super frustrating. The first night we also waited 2 hours after 3 calls to get bedding for our sofa bed. I’d give it a 9 because of the inconvenience every day with house keeping dilemmas.

For the price, we expected a better experience. We’ve stayed in Cancun so many times. We wanted to love this resort but that was not the case. We were there for 5 days, 4 nights with our children who are 10 and 12. PROS: 1 bedroom suite was fantastic with laundry Beautiful view Hammock on the balcony was great Drinks were above average Food was good CONS: Our bracelets never worked in restaurants so it took us longer to wrap up every meal. During two of our breakfasts, we did not have anyone help up us but when they saw us get up from our table they chased us expecting a tip. Concierge service was disappointing. Front desk service is slow. Every single day, some kind of issue up and we had to waste time waiting in line behind people who were checking in and out. No one went out of their way to do extra even after they messed up. No entertainment staff. Very little kids entertainment options. I would NOT STAY here again or recommend to anyone.

The breakfast buffet is also outstanding. The spa my husband used was beautiful. The shows at night were very entertaining for adults and children. The carousel was fun for young children. The kids club was so nice for kids ages 5 and up. But the best of all was the staff, outstanding service. Very attentive, nice and professional. Our bell boy, Adrian who walked us up to our room on day one and walk us to our car on our last day was so nice. Lastly, Rosa and Ada who were staff at the lobby were the sweetest and most kindest. Remembered our names and were so nice to my little boys. Every chance they get they offered drinks and asked how everything was going. Also the staff by the pool are very fast with drinks and food. They helped out with finding chairs to sit and obtain umbrella for our kids. 10/10 hotel all due to the staff and food. Food is very important to me. Everything was clean, turn down service was impeccable. Only negative which really the hotel can’t control is the beach, unusable due to seaweed and rocky. Also when taking a shower the water smelled bad. Would definitely come back and will recommend to anyone traveling with kids.

We had an amazing stay at hotel Garza Blanca. Fantastic facilities and very kind staff. The only criticism I have is the room set up. There needs to be a barrier or a door where the bath is placed. Some privacy is needed even if you know the other person/people

The hotel is modern, clean, and the food at the Asian specialty restaurants was genuinely excellent. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Service was consistently slow—poolside food often took up to two hours, and unless you tipped significantly, staff rarely checked in. Most pool seating (especially near the main pools) were reserved for timeshare guests, leaving first-time visitors like us stuck in quiet, less desirable areas. Daily breakfast waits were 20+ minutes for a family of five, and rooms were frequently not cleaned or restocked unless we followed up multiple times. Staff also seemed to prioritize guests based on wristband color, which made us feel overlooked. Activities were very limited, and the beach was rocky with murky water—not suitable for snorkeling or paddle boats as advertised. We chose this resort expecting top-tier service and personalized attention but were very disappointed. Not recommended for families or groups—there are better hotels in the area at a lower price with much better value and service.
