Hello, my overall stay at this property was good. However, their front desk staff needs to improve in their customer service. Especially the front desk. I was charged WIFI when it complimentary. My airport transfer wasn't honored. I had to get a cab to avoid being late for my flight. Which was also an extra charge. This was done even though I was in the lobby 5-10 earlier than the specified time for my free transfer. No alternative was offered as an option. My airport trasport was already prepaid. The front desk staff on my departure was horrible. Everything else was a good experience.

The food was horrible. Hotel is nice. However, they don't have restaurants reservations which makes the wait long. Steak house was not good. The menu said lobster, they gave me shrimp. Shrimp tasted old and smelled.

Food was awesome , the specialty restaurants food is amazing , staff is great, rooms are super clean. Ambience in the day was great however at night after the show in the theater there was not much to do but sit at the lobby bar which has plenty of seating areas and just mingle or go to the lounge bar which also has plenty of seating areas and a pool table and TVs but no loud music it’s not a club lounge type. Overall it’s a great resort .

Had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary. Entire building and surroundings were immaculate. Very clean and extremely comfortable. Rooms were comfortable and food was excellent. Would recommend RIU Palace Kukulkan to anyone looking for a quite and elegant get away

The property is fine for the traveler that is looking for a “party” destination. It is quite loud and noisy at all times during the day so not a good spot for anybody looking for a more relaxing vacation. Most importantly, o had a major isse with the front desk and management when they refused to let a different person stay with me when I had already paid for double occupancy. A friend had come to stay 3 days and left. And when I had another friend coming they wanted to charge me for an extra person when I had already paid a double stay for a full 3 weeks! It was an utterly unpleasant experience and I even had to threaten them just to be able to speak to the manager in change. It took 4 days, many angry calls and meetings and a lot of pressure from Expedia (thanks team!!!) to finally have them agree to let another person stay for 5 days. I will never stay at a RIU property ever again.

Just spent 6 nights here July 20-26 with my wife. Clean, beautiful beach (some days had more sargassum than others), great food (Elite restaurant our favorite dinner meal). La Isla Mall literally across the street and down one block. Super safe area, good shopping. 10/10 would recommend!

The hotel staff was great. All very nice and attentive. The double beds are small and hard. The food was average. The room service menu is very limited unless you are an Elite member. The hotel could work on improving small perks for standard hotel guests.
