The room was very spacious and new. We had a great view! The staff was great! The dinner restaurants were good but nothing to brag about. We tried each and the Mexican was our favorite. I was concerned about no beach service but the beach bar was so close to our seats on the beach and I had my 3 adult kids to fetch me a drink whenever needed. No complaints! We had a fantastic time and would definitely return!

New hotel, close to airport and loved the view of Cancun from our balcony. Food and service was generally good and pools were nice and was nice to be right on the beach.

Overall staff were nice, food excellent and room great but towel color choice was a zero Sorry. It was my boyfriend birthday that weekend crew member surprised my boo with a bottle of liquor at the room and later that day we went out just to come to a surprise birthday decoration with balloons on the bed all done by our room service member it was so beautiful and we did tipped her and other restaurant crew members. Thanks Riu Ventura for your Hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Everything was good except, we weren’t sent the voucher to get to or from the airport. Even after filling out the Destination Services. They told us the vouchers weren’t necessary but we had to pay an extra $160USD to get to the resort. And almost charged leaving the resort.

The good: Housekeeping was phenominal and non invasive. Room was large and comfy, lots of light and storage. Great entertainment team, especially mustache Jonny with fun, interactive games around the pool. Loved Jose Angel with the pool barcart! Didn't even have to get out of my lounger for a cocktail! Loungers around the pool were very good quality and there were plenty of them, lots of tables and shade. Never had any trouble finding a spot. FOOD was good and lots of choices but the buffet would get crowded and hard to get a table, but they did a great job at cleaning tables and restocking food. If you sit in Iris' area, she's super sweet and attentive! The reason for only 4 stars is: #1 We were on the 13th floor facing away from the resort. There is a beach club from another hotel directly below. They played obnoxious music until after 11 pm on our first night. There was no way to get any sleep. We could here every word the dj was hollering. Awful. #2 after midnight, a security alarm went off. A strobe light and siren went off super loudly in our (and every) room and a female voice started spewing instructions in spanish. I waited for English and it never came. It was very scary. We went into the hall and everyone was panicing. We changed our clothes and went out again and another guest said it was false alarm. We went back to bed and 15 minutes later the same thing happened AGAIN! #3 Someone barfed in the bar pool and it was closed for an entire day. I would return!

Just left the resort yesterday. Overall, it was good with just some negatives. The room was clean and housekeeping was good as well. Checking in was smooth with no problems. However, we did run into a rude front desk lady. Wife wanted to get her hair braided and she basically laughed and lied to her. The spa behind check in desk does in fact do hair. I saw a lot of comments about food not being good. Unfortunately they were right. We left resort to eat cause food was not good. The other negative, I could not get margaritas anywhere else besides sports bar and the pool bar. Ive been to other resorts and thet have workers coming all over offering drinks.

I slipped in the pool twice. I was in a wheelchair for three days. An emergency alarm kept going off in the middle of the night not in English. It was terrifying since I couldn't move cause my knee almost broke slipping in the pool beautiful resort no Doctor on the premises first aid people knew nothing no crutches no canes to help me.

The facility was overall very clean. Food was hit or miss one night I did experience food poisoning which left me in my room for a couple days. Beach was nice most of the time, last few days it was pretty dirty and not kept clean. It was unfortunate the pools close at 6pm. Staff most of them friendly and kind. Overall rate 3/5

Staff was great. Room was clean. Food was fair and although there was a lot of variety, it seemed to be the same nearly every day. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the day one day and then in the middle of the night and was ear piercing. No explaination - no all clear. Nothing. I was going to attend a rui fit class that was apparently cancelled due to weather but the pool volleyball was going on at the same time. I wouldn't go back to this RIU resort.

We had a wonderful time. Hotel ia clean and very organized. The food is delicious, staff are very kind … Especially the waiter name Omar, who working at buffet in breakfast and lunch…. He treated us like a royal family…
