The resort itself is cozy, well-maintained, and in a good location. The food was good, and the staff—especially servers and housekeeping—were professional and friendly. If our experience had ended there, this would have been a solid stay.
Unfortunately, what ruined the trip entirely was the so-called “VIP card” presentation, which was misleading and aggressively pushed on us.
We were told this would be a 90-minute presentation about a referral-style VIP card. In reality, it turned into nearly four hours of high-pressure sales tactics to get us to invest money into their vacation ownership program. We repeatedly tried to leave and were met with resistance, constant pressure, and guilt tactics. It felt forceful and extremely uncomfortable.
This was especially frustrating because we were only there for four days, celebrating my wife’s 30th birthday, and we lost half a day of our vacation to this. The presentation tactics felt deceptive, not transparent.
They intentionally overprice activities, services, and amenities to make it seem like the VIP card would save you a massive amount of money. That “savings” is misleading and designed to push you into a long-term financial commitment. Do not fall for it.
Important advice to future guests:
Decline the VIP card and any “presentation.” If you do, you’ll likely have a great time at the resort. If you don’t, be prepared for aggressive sales pressure that can seriously ruin your stay.
