The safety of this property is terrible. The room across from my 2 nights in a row had issues and the second night finally security showed up and yelled numerous times to open the door or they would break it done. Don’t waste your money on this place. Worst hotel in Canmore

This place was great. Staff was super friendly, the location is perfect- close to Banff without being "in the thick of it" & super walkable to coffee, restaurants, laundromat, groceries, liquor store, etc. I had a mountain view room, which was great, and the lower panel of the window opens so you can let in some fresh mountain air, which was an amazing perk for me. Hot water & water pressure were great & parking was easy & convenient.

Best deal we could find in Canmore. We were pleasantly surprised to have a nice king room with a view of the “Three Sisters” from our window. Basic amenities but clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location close to everything.

I rate The Mountain View Inn - 7/10. The cleanliness of my Inn was very nice, but they only offered "cleaning every other day" and only "during stays of 3 nights or longer." The staff were very nice and provided everything we need (towels, tissue, etc.). The property, although good for pictures, still looks like it needs a small renovation on the outerior, and the main entrance way. Everything else, especially the food options nearby, where a walkable distance, which I liked. I just wished the prices for such an Inn in this shape, wouldn't cost the same thing as nearby, and newly renovated facilities. Only go here as a last resort, and only if you find it at a good price (in which we did not).

Great location for us. Basic room but nice and clean. Fridge had a freezer for my ice packs we wanted each day to carry cold drinks etc to our various outings. I was also pleased to find an ice machine in the lobby to add to my water thermos…amazing how many places we stayed this week that did not have ice available or a freezer in the mini fridge. We slept really well however the morning hours became loud with kids running above and playing.

The hotel is old and in need of much repair. Carpets are ripped and need restreaching. Staff was fine. It just seemed low budget and that the ownership didn't want to spend the money to keep things up.

Liked: The price as compared to other hotels in the area. Disliked: No elevator. We were given room on second floor and were asked to somehow carry the big bags up the staircase. The hotel provides no help with carrying the heavy bags. The inn comes across as not customer oriented.
