Disappointing Stay at La Bocca Apartment
Our stay at La Bocca Apartment was highly disappointing and fell well short of expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the apartment was not as described in the listing. Firstly, the cleanliness was inadequate. We found ourselves spending a significant portion of our vacation cleaning the apartment, including washing and drying the sheets, which was not something we expected to do during our stay. The lack of air conditioning compounded the issue, making the apartment unbearably hot.
Basic necessities were also missing. There were no essential supplies such as a bag of tea, salt, sugar, or other simple basics that one might reasonably expect in a rental property. This lack of essentials further detracted from our comfort and convenience. The bedding situation was particularly problematic. The pillows were old and uncomfortable. Despite multiple requests over four days, we received only 2 out of the 5 pillows we were promised. The bedding sheets were outdated and made of microfiber, which became increasingly uncomfortable in the heat. Additionally, the internet connection was unstable throughout our stay, making it difficult to stay connected or work if needed.
Communication with the property manager, VRBO, and the owner proved fruitless. We spent four days attempting to resolve these issues, only to be met with unhelpful responses. The owner’s suggestion that we could leave if we were unhappy left us feeling stranded, as no viable solution was offered.
