For the price, I did not find this hotel worth it. We stayed two nights as part of a 12 night trip and this was our least favorite and most expensive. While the location was great, the ocean view room we had on the ground level had stairs that led to the parking lot. The dog area is at the edge of the stairs so you have to walk through it to get to your room. It smells awful. The hallway smells awful. The bed was comfortable, but the finishing were very cheap especially the flooring.

We love Cannon Beach, and the Surfsand was conveniently located to everything. While we enjoyed our long weekend, there were two issues we felt needed addressed ... when I booked the room it said oceanfront view. The room was indeed facing the ocean with the "view" obscured by a very large flowering shrub and a concrete retaining wall! Transparency in the room description with a reflection in the price would have been appreciated (oceanfront rooms are not cheap!). Second, being on the ground floor we could hear every foot step from the room above. EVERY FOOTSTEP!

Beautiful oceanfront walkout rooms are perfect for young families/kids, making for convenient access to the beach! The family-friendly touches like sand buckets, robes, and fresh baked afternoon cookies for kids (and adults!) are a lovely touch. We loved our stay at Surfsand Resort!

Too much money for what you get.

Our WiFi didn’t work for most of our stay, so both the tv’s didn’t work and the gfci outlet for the tv in the bathroom was broken. The bed was clean but hard as a rock and we didn’t get another roll of toilet paper and had to ration the last roll. For as much as we paid for the room I was expecting much more and was very disappointed. The maintenance man was nice and patient though. I tried voicing my concerns to the front desk but they didn't take the time to listen to my complaints and just wanted to get rid of me. The tile in front of the bathroom sink was coming up and would pinch your foot if you weren’t careful. The fake fireplace was turned off by staff after cleaning our room and our room was freezing cold when we got back from a day out. The heat pump in the ceiling was not enough to heat our room, spent most nights cold because of this and because we were on the ground level. We couldn’t get a table at the wayfarer, not even a seat at the bar. I could have had a decent stay in Hawaii for the amount I paid for this hotel and wish I had taken the time to do that instead!

This property was amazing...you get what you pay for. The pool was beautiful. The safety of the common areas (key access only) was appreciated. The view from our room was gorgeous...however, if you want a full beach view book a beachside room. We had an oceanview room, still nice, but next time it's beachside. This hotel offers 1 night stays, whereas others in the area require a 3 night minimum...something to note. The restaurant next door was amazing...we sat outside enjoying a small view of the beach. We chose to partake in the smores experience on the beach and watched the sunset. Definitely recommend! Get up early and have the beach to yourself in the morning with super easy beach access from the hotel. LOVED the room...fireplace inside, spacious balcony to lounge on...the railings are a bit hard to see through while sitting on the balcony however, but I put a pillow on my chair and that helped. That would be my only complaint...the bathroom was stunning with a rainfall shower head and a handheld wand as well. Sand is likely to be part of the experience. lol Some we found and some we brought in ourselves...a true beach experience. HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Wonderful experience in Surfsand

I had a wonderful stay at Surfsand. The location is fantastic, offering beautiful views that made my visit even more memorable. The facilities inside the room were pretty new and modern, which made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the on-site restaurant served delicious food. Overall, I highly recommend Surfsand for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
