The Crows Nest Apt; Asheville; Smoky Mtns

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. `The Crows Nest` is the perfect landing spot for a couple or individual looking for a central location equipped with a full kitchen, deck, and a cozy living room! You will love all the outdoor adventure and great spots to eat in this area!

ABOUT THE SPACE:
- 1300 sq ft 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment with full kitchen; living area
- Private deck; amazing mtn view
- 20 minute drive to Asheville
- HD smart tv
- Wifi and good cell signal
- 15 minute walk to a few restaurants.
- Smokey Mountains or Blue Ridge Parkway and outdoor activities.
- this an upstairs apartment; 2 other private rental units on the property (one is a downstairs apartment which is completely separate), and another is a tiny house in the back yard. The owner often stays in one of the units when in town.

PARKING:

SLEEPING:

- A fully equipped kitchen with a coffee/tea station, refrigerator, microwave, oven, hot pot and many other things that will allow you to cook meals.

BACKYARD:
- You have access to the `Secret Garden` at the top of the property (signs will guide you). This is a tiered garden that my parents created before `green` was even thought of. They reused materials from the house and also tires to create walls, paths and special places for sitting peacefully or meditating or just reading. You will not be able to tell you are in a small town but feel like you are in a forest.

SURROUNDING AREAS
- Downtown Canton, a 15 minute walk, has a relaxing brewery on the river, a great used bookstore on main street with comfy couches along with Papertown Coffee right down the street. Jros and Grateful Table on the same street have great food.
- 20 Minutes to the east is Asheville, and 15 minutes to the west in Waynesville, you’ll find breweries, dining, coffee, music, and nightlife.
- The Blue Ridge Parkway has hiking trails just 20 minutes away
- Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just an hour away.
- Lots of mountain biking in Asheville or a new park opening up right outside Canton (Chestnut Mountain).

Keep in mind the lower part of the house is a fully private apartment, and there is a tiny house in the backyard. Each is private from each other, but you will have others on the property.

The owner often stays in one of the units when they are in town as well.

The neighborhood is quiet and close to downtown Canton. You can walk or drive to a coffee shop, a few restaurants, hair salons and a local bath products store.

You have your own parking spot (*please note its 1 car max*).

Very warm once I made it in. The heat worked very well! Note that the keypad needs the 4 digit code plus the check mark. I didn’t get that info, so messed up my code trying to get in the first time. Kitchen is very nice and fully equipped — seems as though it’s been updated in the last couple of years or so. The Keurig machine didn’t work unfortunately, and so had to wait a couple of days until it was replaced. Other than this, it was a perfect place for me as it was only a couple minutes from where I needed to be. Bed was comfortable, plenty of closet space, and clean. Responses were quick from the hosts. Also, the deck outside has a pretty view. A little gem with an interesting history.
