This is a beautiful hotel across from the beach. I would highly recommend staying at the Grand Hotel of Cape May over Ocean Club where we generally stay every year. The Grand Hotel is a lot nicer and the amenities are better.

I was disappointed about the condition of the room and bathroom. It is very old, worn out and needs renovation. I liked that they have indoor and outdoor pool. The water was clean and warm.

Outdoor pool lovely & clean but loungers old & immennsely uncomfortable. Indoor pool clean, indoor hot tub hot but not powerful. Towel issue is insane. Tiny, flimsy towel..1 per person & if u don't return, $20 fee. Rooms clean & housekeeping was efficient. Beds very small & uncomfortable. Bike rental-only 2hrs free then $15hr per person. Location inconvenient. U need the bike.

We appreciated the hotel had an indoor pool since the weather was not that nice for a few days due to remnants of Hurricane Erin. The one nice day we were able to use the pool, there were several areas of the pool seating area that were covered in still water from the rainfall. It would have been a good idea if the staff would have pushed the water away so the patrons were able to sit in the chairs and not have water surrounding the chairs. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

It is a great property for families, rain or shine. Activities for the kids each day along with pool bar and steel drums for the adults. Indoor pool was key during the hurricane conditions for the entire week.

A few minor issues: 4 women sharing a room. Only receiving 2 wash cloths. We were not given Beach Tags. Not even a mention of them. I was under the impression that the wrist bands were for pool and beach access. After learning about beach tags upon check out, I wondered if beach tags weren’t given to us because the beach was closed. Though, it should have been mentioned. The air conditioner couldn’t be adjusted. Otherwise, we had a nice time.

Got to the property early and was told we could pre-register and use facilities which was great. Went back at 3pm for the check-in time and was told our room still needed extra time to be ready. We were there celebrating a birthday and had two young children under 5 with us. After calls and speaking with someone else, our room was switched, and we were able to get there after 3. However, the room must've been booked for 2 people and so we had to call down numerous times to get more towels, pillows, toiletries etc. When pulling out the sofa bed there were bottle tops and baby snacks on the floor that had not been cleaned. On one of the days we had to wait till 3pm to get service for the room, new towels etc. Not sure if the lady knocked on the door and though there was NOT a do not disturb sign, she did not enter. I had to open the door and call for her, she asked if we needed service and when I replied yes, she sighed and rolled her eyes, as if we were a problem and it was an inconvenience for her to provide service. We did not receive more toiletries or toilet paper that was needed. I did let the receptionist know, especially as we were celebrating a birthday after a hard year. Nicole at reception was fantastic during our stay there and really made us feel more than just a number. She really cared and stated this was not the service they usually have. She said she would pass on the information to the Manager and we have yet to hear back from anyone.
