About the home

“Cape Hays” is a charming family home in Cape Woolamai just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

A central hallway leads to Bedroom 1 and 2 (each with BIR), a bathroom (with shower & toilet), a Lounge Room (with electric fireplace & 55 inch TV with Chromecast), and a pool Room (with billiard table). Towards the rear of the home is the large open plan Kitchen/Dining (with sound system and bluetooth speaker) including a delightful Bay Window, providing a fantastic space to relax, and leading out to a large rear deck. Off the Dining Room, is Bedroom 3, Bedroom 4 (with BIR) and another bathroom (with shower over a bath and toilet).

Outdoor Areas

The fantastic large covered rear Deck (with gas BBQ, wall mounted smat TV and seating for 8) overlooks the fully enclosed back yard which is perfect for children. There are some boogie boards which guests are welcome to use. There is plenty of space to park up to 3-4 vehicles (cars and/or a boat), and a gate at the front of the property provides another enclosed space for children.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with a Nesspresso coffee machine, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge (located in laundry), dishwasher, electric oven and electric cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner and ceiling fan in the Kitchen/Dining room. There is an electric fireplace in the Lounge room and some additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 7 beds accommodating up to 10 guests:

Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: One Double bed
Bedroom 3: One Double bed and one Single bed
Bedroom 4: One set of Single bunks, one Single bed

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, * check in times * are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional * linen hire * over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
